Each stone has ranking based on Tier level ([1], [2], [3] etc.). The equipments (armors/weapons) also have an Item Level. The level of the stones you're using must be the same as the item's Item Level you're upgrading (for example, an Item Level 2 item requires a Tier[2] Elrue/Lix/Xir in order to enhance it).

Introduction

Enhancement stones are used for upgrading the "enhancement," or effect, of a weapon or piece of armor. The difficulty for enhancement increases complimentary to the level of enhancement attempted. There are three types of enhancement stones used in enhancement.

Image:Item-Lix_(1).png Lix Used for enhancing from +4 to +6.
Image:Item-Xir_(1).png Xir Used for enhancing from +7 to +9

Enhancement stones may only be used if certain item levels and required levels are met. For instance, an item with an Item Level of 2 can only be enhanced with Level 2 enhancement stones, but cannot be enhanced with Level 1 or Level 3 enhancement stones.

Enhancement stones may be produced by characters with sufficient skill points to produce them. For more information, see Stone Production.

Blessed and Lucky stones

Sometimes, a rare version of ordinary enhancement stones may be found upon defeating a regular mob, opening a Treasure Chest, harvesting a resource, or defeating a hero or boss mob. Blessed and Lucky stones may also be acquired as a quest reward or a kingdom quest reward. These "special" stones are subdivided into Blessed and Lucky variations. The level restrictions that apply for regular enhancement stones also apply for Blessed and Lucky variations.
