Hi Couch!

Could you start using preview and edit a whole page at a time if you want to make many small changes? Because Special:Recentchanges is full of you right now, and while I'm sure you deserve the attention, that's not very useful when I want to know about the other edits that have taken place. Thank you! --Mendel 08:42, 24 July 2009 (CDT)

I've been trying, but the preview doesn't always show what the page will show. Some tables preview as a line of text, rather than an actual table, but will show up fine on the actual page.

One thing that's been bugging me is on the Guardian/HolyKnight page at the skill Divinity, <center> is displayed on the page, but not the preview and I haven't been able to get rid of it. --Couchpotato013 09:59, 24 July 2009 (CDT)

Ok, here's why: you never closed the <center> tag in the section above. I have a few questions/suggestions:
  1. It would be better to make a single page for the non-exclusive spells, that way the missing info has to be updated in one place only; currently, it's duplicated
  2. I'd like to un-center everything because I feel centering the information makes it harder to read.
  3. You're spacing things out much with extra <br /> tags, is that needed?
  4. I'd like to stick with one table style (the grey one) and make a .css class for it if the admins would agree (else we could make a template)
  5. The blue headlines should be talked over with the admins, and, again, a solution can be found via .css that doesn't require a <span> in every headline
What do you think? --Mendel 13:12, 24 July 2009 (CDT)

1. I agree. Having 1 page for nonexclusive spells makes it easier on the editing. Is there a way to embed the contents of another page though to have the information side by side still? From the discussions that I have seen, people aren't aware of the nonexclusive skills. Some people default to Guardian because they can continue to upgrade Heal (and Rejuvenate), while currently both classes still get the other healing type skill (which is never mentioned). If it's not possible to embed the contents of another page, then go ahead and split the information.

2,3,4, and 5. Go ahead and change the formatting to what you think is right. All the formatting is copy and pastes from the cleric skills section, and then modified with new information or column headers.

The <br> tag in the stub was to make the notice stand out a bit more, but the spacing it made is to big for my liking. Without having something similar to carriage return, I believe that others would just assume it's the normal stub message and scroll through it, like everyone does with a EULA.

My programming experiences are Pascal and C++. So I can read a majority of code, but not write it. So .css files are beyond what I know, unless I can throw it in to Frontpage or something, which I doubt will work.

Happen to know any WYSIWYG offline wiki editors? I think I used to have one about a year back but lost it during a reinstall.

I hear some people use "WikiEd". You get a simple paragraph break by leaving a blank line. Yes, you can include other pages. I'm going to do the changes. --Mendel 15:32, 24 July 2009 (CDT)
Done, what do you think? Some of the table headers are still really more different than they need to be, e.g. the cost of the skill scroll is in differt positions. --Mendel 16:11, 24 July 2009 (CDT)
No comment on the formatting, as long as I can read the info it's all good. Yeah, the column headers not being consistent really annoyed me when I was filling in the information. I didn't bother to change it as that's how it was on the Cleric Skills section. Since there's very few information (only about a few lines each table), now would be a good time to get the appropriate tables in. Having a more populated table will make the conversions longer to make later on. --Couchpotato013 ??:??, 24 July 2009 (CDT)
I'm planning to put together information on where you respawn at if you die at certain maps, since I'm at 0% right now. Problems/Questions I have
  1. Can't think of what to create the page name as. "Respawn" is very generic sounding, and can either apply to players or monsters. Same with "Map Respawn" or "Respawn Locations", even though there is already a "Monster Locations". If you can think up a name that doesn't cause confusion, can you create it and link it for me?
  1. The map image. There's only 5 (or 6?) respawn areas: Roumen, elderine, Forest of Mist, Uruga, , sand hill, and Alberstol. I plan on using the map obtained from pressing "U" ingame and start coloring in the dots to represent what city players will appear in if they die there. As far as I know, this means uploading a static image with every update/edit. Is there a way so that everyone is able to edit (add a colored dot) the image dynamically, like a whiteboard type application?

  1. Be bold and go with an ok page name, like "Respawn locations". Pages can be moved easily later on if people complain.
  2. Not on this wiki, it requires some extensions. But... why not do it with text for now? When that's fairly complete, a U map with arrows pointing from the maps to the cities would be very nice. --Mendel 22:36, 24 July 2009 (CDT)

Spam Bot

I believed the issue has been resolved; I invisibly mass rollbacked the bot's edits. Let me know if there are articles that still have vandalism. Triumph Talk 00:22, 22 August 2009 (UTC)

Cleric Skills

I also need cost, sp use, cast time, and casting distance.

Just wondering but why is the Non-Exclusive list on Guardian and Holy Knight since it just post some other skills?Joshbl56 05:14, 22 August 2009 (UTC)

The information you need is (or atleast should) be already available on the Guardian/Holy_Knight pages. The reason why the Non-Exclusive skill is shown on both pages is to prevent confusion. When I originally made the page, there was a lot of misinformation about what each class can do. The talks were focused on the exclusive skills, and several people ended up believing that a certain class would lose Heal entirely. Or that depending on your class, you'd only be allowed to use a mace or hammer (the weapon masteries). However when you look at the non-exclusive skills, you can see that each class can continue to upgrade trip/bleed, just not the passive mastery and bash skills. People were choosing their classes based off buffing vs healing. When they look at the non-exclusive list, they can see that they still get to upgrade a majority of their buffs and healing type spells.
