Seriuosly though, the neighborhood that I used to work in, you needed protection. And I used to not carry one, until I was single and one night I was followed home. I was smart enough however to figure out that the guy was following me, so I detoured until I lost him then got my butt home as quick as I could. The next day I called my dad and told him what happened and we went gun shopping. But, I grew up around guns and learned how to use them properly when I was young. So, I am familiar and comfortable with them. I am also a better shot then my husband, lol. Everytime we have ever been out shooting, I always out shoot him.

It is for protection, not killing. And it depends on where you shoot them. Shoot them in the legs and you take out their ability to run, leaving you safe and them in a condition easy enough for the cops to apprehend. My intentions are not to kill. If I wanted to do that, I would simply run them over with my truck. That is why it stays in my truck. If I am being attacked in my truck they are close enough I could do damage to them. If they are running away - what is the point in shooting. If they are far enough away that the gun will not hurt them, then I am far enough away to escape.
It is self-defense, not kill and destroy.

This is in MoS so I can double post. Bela - We have what we call the Snake-gun at home, you do not have to aim, just point in the general direction and shoot - you will hit whatever you are pointing at. <--- that is a fun gun to shoot with.
