I don't mind it to an extent. Makes them look friendly and active. But sometimes it looks like they're abusing their powers and abilities.

Yes.. I second the person who brought up FAVORITES. I've already noticed it a few times as well. -.-
GMs openly insult me casually. Seems if they have their unfavorites too. -.-

Meh, they're just trying to have a little fun.
It's CB, it's gonna get wiped anyway. You have to remember this is a game, the whole point of one is to have fun and relax. =\

Meh, I'm not too worried about favorites now. Heh, imagine if someone caught a GM giving a present to somebody!

Alrite I've sat an watched this thread long enough. You people who have nothing better to do then complain and make FALSE accusations of favoritism sicken me. Go grow up. Maybe if you people took them time to come into IRC an get to know them instead of spamming them with insults or "GM GIMMIE MONEY PLOX or GM BUFF ME PLOX." You would have the relationship with them you desire. Eventually you will complain them into non-existence and we will end up like the FLYFF community... ABANDONED.

Harlot you gave the GMs every reason to dislike you in CB1 infact you made them dislike the guild as a whole. You GM bashed everytime one was near you. In Cb2 you were a idiot an even alienated your guildmates causing HQ to break-up. AND after we left you an HQ you tried to ruin a event for us by warring and attacking AndyB during his turn.
As for us being FAVORITES what evidence do have to support that? We in no way have recieved any help from the GMs. We talk to them in the IRC channel *which has been made public on numerous occasions*and thats about it. You were banned for insulting a player in shout chat. I wont even began to repeat some of the things you were saying but yea you were screenshotted and reported for it and got banned get over it baby. So what if she was in CL she was still a player was she not? You insult people and expect them to like you? As for the Gms I'm pretty sure even they dont even bother with you so how can you say they publicly insult you? You're lieing through your teeth and you know it.

But I do like how they are essentially part of the community, but as O-Mie said, in open they better not play favorites to people.

AGAIN WHAT FAVORITISM?...Can you find one lvl? one weapon or one silver that has not been earned among us?

@Tequila
No need to flip out, I don't think one person in this thread accused the GMs of playing favourites.
The reason favourites was brought up was because in many cases when GMs are this casual and interactive with the community, favouritism happens. Theres a tons of MMOs out there and it's happened to a lot of them.
We already know since its CB they're going crazy with handouts, although yes, they have done a good job at making the handouts relatively global, or to people who have won contests. So if there is going to be chances at free gifts that's a good way of doing it.
Some are just concerned though, that people who are friends with the GMs, may be given more leniency in the rules of the game, or be slipped gifts, causing an imbalance to the game, and ruining it for people who are unable to befriend the GMs. In no way am I accusing anyone, but its something that has happened and is a concern to many players that want to have an enjoyable gaming experience.
Not only is it a concern for the players, but the gaming companies themselves. You mention the Flyff community being abandoned. This isn't true. GMs, for example, Limester, who was very active with the Flyff community and many players loved was fired, because of the handing out of items, and giving certain players levels. *coughstragocough* Because of all this, the GMs currently employed by Galanet rarely make an appearance, and only do scheduled events. This was done EXACTLY to stop these problems. You call it abandoning the players? Galanet calls it NOT LOSING MONEY.
And this is why chummy GMs has been such a concern.

Again, I agree with Sigurd, and seriously, stop flipping out and attacking DwLee.
Flyff GMs actually are somewhat active, especially on the forums. Xagel for instance is even active on flyffworld. He doesn't have to do that but he does. They still do events, too.
But yeah, you need to cool your jets and not attack other members. >_> Its not becoming, even if you are just trying to make a point. If you have something to yell at him/her about, you should do it in PM or something.
*EDIT*
After reading the thing you posted - Nobody is saying anybody is being favorited, just that GMS befriending players leads them to give them stuff. Friends help each other, lol. Its not a bad thing to want to help your friends, but making them have an advantage of other players just because of it isn't right. ;o

Well I don't see why we should worry about something that hasn't even happened yet. What can we do? Complain already when the GMs haven't even done any favouritism?
I'm not saying this will not happen in Fiesta, but there is no use worrying or complaining about something that hasn't even happened. Besides, I personally don't really see how a GM "slipping" any certain player a gift will ruin the economy. After all, it is only that one player that gets the extra item, and I highly doubt that's going to affect the WHOLE economy. It is only if GMs give gifts to everyone (like spawning treasure chests everywhere) that would significantly affect the economy. But then again, I'm not a terribly experienced MMORPG player soooo I'm just taking a guess. xD
Some people might think it's unfair if a GM does that. Sure, it's not really fair, but so what? Personally, I don't care if someone got a special item from a GM. It's not going to affect me unless they use it against me in PvP or whatever.
