Alberstol Ruins
 

Hi

I just hit 70 with my cleric [Yeah!] and can now scroll to Alberstol.

I noticed there is not a lot of info on Alberstol on the wiki, so I wanted to volunteer in adding some.

However I want to verify first is there is not already such an effort under way.

Let me know if I can go ahead, and if there are any tricky thing to know about beforehand [some central wiki page that Alberstol must be part of, etc].

It's not spelt correctly, but it looks like the page was made before the map was released.. I'm sure the wiki admins can change that later on..

That page is, well, lets just say 'basic', shall we? :)

My initial idea was to base myself on another similar page, like
Sand hill

Any objection to my starting a new page instead of taking that one?

The alternative is to take that one but then
-> All the current content [1 image?] will be removed
-> The page as you say is not named properly [and the image seems wrong in term of gates] and all the links I will make elsewhere will have the wrong name - might be more complicated to fix after the fact

LOL it hasn't been touched for 2 years, and it seems like the image is not entiring accurate..

Yes if you were to start working on it, to use another town's format would be an excellent idea..

I'd wait for the Wiki admins to comment on which way is easier..

There are lots of pages linked to the old AR page (link) I think it's mainly the shortcuts at the bottom of all the maps page..

I wonder how it'll update if they change the old page name..

I will wait for an admin then before doing anything.

In the meantime, I will gather the data I need and try to format the text I will produce [so still plenty of things to do anyway before actually changing anything lol]

I have renamed the page to the title of this thread. A redirect has been placed in the former page, so all pages now link to the page with the proper spelling.

If you have any questions, feel free to PM or post. A faster answer can be gotten by PM, since I will receive a phone notification. As I no longer have the game installed on my hard drive, I am mainly here to answer technical inquiries that you may have.

I added several things to Alberstol Ruins page (it is far from complete, but takes a lot of time to set...)

However I have no idea about

a) how to adjust the templates, that is the NPC list [like the Elderine one]
b) How to categorize a page as NPC, so it appears in the NPC index

and probably a few others I will discover soon...

Let me know if the above can be fixed my myself, or if there is a guide I should read for the info :)

Most of the changes I wanted to do in Alberstol Ruins pages are done.

What is missing and I cannot do, among other things

-> List of the monster on the page, their levels
-> List of quests

Enjoy the pages, I will play around with them again once I level there... in a few years or so...
