Introduction

So you have chosen to become a cleric. The cleric is considered to be one of the most versatile and diverse classes, capable of healing allies and dealing powerful mêlée damage. Clerics make viable solo characters, but they also play one of the strongest support roles in parties. Parties favor clerics due to their ability to heal and strengthen allies.

Skills

You now know the cleric's role, but you may be wondering: "What's so good about being a cleric?" Many choose to become clerics because of their skills.

Active Skills

Heal (01)HealClerics are renowned for Heal. It recovers HP at a minimal SP cost and cooldown of 3 seconds.
Bash (01)BashAnother skill of the Cleric is Bash. Similar to the damage skills of a Fighter, Bash is one of the ways a Cleric inflicts additional damage.
Protect (01)ProtectProtect increases the physical damage and defense of all party members. This spell is useful due to the fact that clerics fight in mêlée situations.
Resist (01)ResistResist increases magic damage and magic defense of all party members. It is not as useful as Protect in various situations, but it is still practical.
ReviveReviveRevives one party member whom has been knocked out. This skill has casting time and a 30-second cooldown.
Cure (01)CureCure removes illnesses and disease. Not used as often as Heal, Cure is useful when fighting monsters that can poison or cause illness.
Immune (01)ImmuneImmune provides increased resistance to illnesses and curses.
Stoneskin (01)StoneskinStoneskin increases block rate.
Invincible (01)InvincibleInvincible converts all damage taken to 0 for a specific time and amount.
Bleed (01)BleedBleed allows clerics to inflict additional damage when using maces.
Trip (01)TripTrip allows clerics to inflict additional damage when using hammers.
Rejuvenate (01)RejuvenateRejuvenate is another healing skill for clerics. Although it replenishes substantially more HP than Heal, it has a longer cooldown.
Endure (01)EndureEndure reduces the amount of damage taken.

The Basics

So you have just created your Cleric character, and have spawned in a city called Roumen. All you have is a basic Mace in your inventory. To equip the Mace, press the "I" key or click on the Inventory icon in the bottom right corner. Click on the Mace and click on either slot of the slots with a "hand" background.

After you have equipped your Mace, talk to Element Helper Remi to being your "First Steps" quest, which will provide you with your first experience, money, and fame. Follow the directions and eventually you will be directed to Healer Julia. Continue following the directions and you'll be done with the "First Steps" quest! By now, you should have 3 Experience and 6 copper, as well as a little fame.

Now you are ready for combat. As a level 1 player, the only monster weak enough will be Slimes. Talk to Weapon Title Master Zach to begin "Killer Slime" quest. In this quest, you will need to kill 10 Slimes. You will only need to kill 7 slimes to level, but you will want to kill 10 in order to finish the quest and get your "Novice Boots", your first piece of armor!

At first, the Slimes may seem difficult to kill. After 2-3 Slimes, your health may be low. You can either rest in your home ("Home" key) or use an HP stone ("Q" key or press the Red Circle next to your HP bar.) It is recommended to rest in your home, because HP stones are limited and are not re-usable. In addition, there is a cooldown time of 3 seconds.

After 10 Slimes have been killed, you will notice a Coocoo bird inside of a house next to the minimap on your screen. Click on it, and you should see something similar to this "Robin is looking for you in (Roumen)." This is a list of available quests to you, and it appears after each level if there are any quests available. When finishing a quest, usually you will receive Experience, money, fame, and sometimes even items of your choice.

Kiting

Kiting is basically a hit-and-run technique employed in many MMORPGs. However, as a Cleric, as soon as you hit level 3, you do not need to do so because you will receive your first "Heal" spell, which heals 110 HP and costs 7 SP.

In general, there is very little need for a Cleric to kite. Generally, Clerics can dish decent damage, but occasionally you may run into a monster that's harder to kill. In that case, as a Cleric, you can heal 3 times in a row in rapid succession. First, you have Healing Stones. Second, you can spam the "Heal" skill. And third, you can also use HP potions.

These options continue to grow, and reduce the kiting tactic even less as you level up. You will have the option to buy higher quality equipment at higher levels, as well as upgraded "Heal" skills. Eventually, you will be able to further increase your defensive abilities with the "Protect" and "Resist" skills. As you level even more, you will be able to use the "Invincibility" and "Rejuvenate" skills, which will neutralize damage and heal you for thousands of HP, respectively.

Job Change

Like all the classes in Fiesta, there will come a time where it is possible to complete the "Job Change" quest.

Job Change in a Nutshell

The Job Change quest is a quest that permits you to upgrade your character class. In this case, you can upgrade from level "Cleric" to "HighCleric", and wield higher level weapons.

Once you reach level 20, you can talk to Paladin Master Keast and begin the Job Change quest, known as the "Level Up Quest" in the game.

After proceeding through the dialogue, you will be asked to bring her an SP potion (Tier 1). After you have done so, you will be redirected to Guard Master Sean slightly south of the Luminous Stone Gate, which is in the center of the Forest of Mist.

Guard Master Sean will instruct you to find a Shadow Key. They are dropped by all monsters, but Phinos drop them the most, usually within the first two or three you kill.

Afterwards, activate all your buffs. You will have time inside the Dungeon, but it's better to be safe. Also, make sure you have enough HP and SP potions and/or stones. You will need them.

Note: Whereas the picture indicates a Mage, as a Cleric, you will have an easier time with this quest.

After a brief little duel with your clone, it will run away, and you will have to chase it. Follow it, and eventually you will meet some Shadow Kebings.

Continue, and soon you will reach another room with six Skeletons. Simply kill them and move on.

Image:Fiesta_jc_pic03.jpg

You will encounter some more Shadow Kebings, but you can ignore them, as they are irrelevant. Eventually, you will reach a line of blue light. Follow it, and your clone will tell you to follow the blue light to find it.

Image:Fiesta_jc_pic05.jpg

Once you reach the end, you will see a red gem on a pedestal.

Image:Fiesta_jc_pic06_small.jpg

Your clone will appear behind you, a good distance away. Now, it won't run, and you can finish it. However, you have an advantage as a Cleric, though Fighters also have this advantage somewhat. You don't even need to kill the other monsters that are teaming up on you. You can, of course, to save HP potions, but it's not really worth the time to do so. Simply throw up a Vitality (Tier 1) and a Shield Increase (Tier 1), and it'll be considerably easier.

Eventually you will defeat your clone.

Image:JCWin.jpg

You will move back to Guard Master Sean. Once you finish talking, you will automatically be promoted to HighCleric, and you will receive an announcement.

Congratulations! You are now a High Cleric.
