KS Question...
Okay, so we all hate KSers, but I ran across a situation the other night that I thought was interesting.
Usually when someone KSes me I'll say something like "don't KS pls!" At lower levels like 1x-low 2x, I would have to explain what KS meant about a third of the time (and I'm only lvl 32, so not exactly high).
Sometimes I've even asked ppl in my own pty to not KS others, and have even quit pty's that don't stop KSing others.
I've also read a couple times on the forums about how annoyed ppl get when someone asks to pty you and if/when you refuse they KS your mob. I have also experienced this.
However...
The other night I duo-ed with someone who was questing for Piggy Bats in Moonlight Tomb. I think there are only 3 or 4 on the map and they have a lower re-spawn rate. She KSed one, and I asked her not to KS other players. She responded by saying she invited the other person to the pty, and only KSed after he refused. I said something like "that doesn't make KSing ok" and she responded with something like "Its ok for rare/low-spawn monsters, and players should accept pty on them or expect to be KSed".
My first instinct was that this was still intrinsically wrong, but the more I thought about it, the more I could see her point.
So anyhow, my mind is not made up and I was hoping to start a discussion and read what everyone thought about this "special situation" KSing...
Thanks!

Ahh, yes some people do that for those monsters. Elite monsters have a lower spawn rate in maps, and it would be best for people who need the kill for quests [probably] to party up so they can all get the kill. Best decision, however some people don't go with it, that's why it happens. But kill stealing is still kill stealing.

Elite mobs or not, kill stealing is ftl. Big no-no~ I hate finding piggy bats and I'd hate it if I spent a long time running around to get the few piggy bats I need, then have someone kill stealing me when I didn't do anything wrong.
So, it's really not okay~~~

I've had multiple occasions while soloing mara and marlone where people tried to party me and then ks'd afterward(Still got the kill/drops). I didn't need it for the quest and I already had a full party.
Kill Stealing = Don't, ever.

There is no justification for KSing. Even Ksing because they KS'ed you first is still wrong. Two wrongs do not make a right. KSing is KSing, no matter what excuse you use.

Kill stealing is kill stealing. You cannot justify it in any way.
I have refused multiple party invites while soloing and have been KS'd. As a full END Fighter what I can do is run around and collect mobs and come back near that person without Mocking. If that person decides to KS again those mobs will just go to him. :3
Yes, I'm partly evil.

I do not expect to be KSed just because I rejected a party invitation. In another words, I don't see how sending a party invitation gives you permission to KS someone...
You don't go and KS someone else's Zombie King just coz it's a low spawn rate mob...
First in, first served, if you're not there to get 1st hit, it's not yours. If you hit it, you're KSing.

I agree most of what Hessah said, so I quoted a bunch of stuff ^^ I hope you don't mind :P
If I wrote something, I'd be repeating everything she said :P

KSing is like this.
Your foot is dirty, and you're gonna wash it at the only watering hose in the village. You're washing your foot, and someone just puts his/her foot above yours and washes theirs, getting all the water for him/herself while leaving a little to none for you.
Or, another example.
You're Q-ing up to buy lunch in school, and when you're about to place your order, someone just comes in and cuts your Q, ordering first.
No matter what, KSing is NEVER a good thing.
