please excuse the violent terms im gonna say... but wtf this is bs right?.. i already laid out couple of bucks on fiesta and their saying this is beta..? of course this is f**ked up.. when beta is over does that mean our character and cs stuff b erased??

Hm, I knew we are still in Beta stages. If we weren't... there'd be definitely something wrong with the amount of bugs.

@LightStep: You didn't have to buy from CS as mentioned above. And it was said officially that there will be NO MORE character wipes after Open Beta. So you keep your stuff and characters onto official release. Of course, if it does for some reason gets wiped and you did not violate ToS... then you can complain.

A beta version is a test version, that is roughly finished but still needs some polishing.
A beta is only for testing and presentation purposes.
What we have here is a full fledged public release version.
Of course a release can have bugs, too

games release stuff after the official release too, or else the game gets boring and old players just leave.

even though you'll probably say it doesn't have anything to do with this, I'll state this example: Blizzard still releases patches for Warcraft 3. they released one recently and are working on another one. do you know how long wc3 has been around? and it didn't even go through 'open beta' nor anything of that sort afaik <.<;;
also, the only thing you gotta pay is for the CD Box.

more into the RPG world, games like Ragnarok still have content being added years after the official release.

This nonsense about the game being in a beta-phase is nonsense. You dont market an in-testing product.

At any rate it just goes to show, that outspark is not thinking about removing XTrap. All I can say is they are in for a real surprise when their profits begin drying up.

I laughed when I read the CSR's line about stopping botters and hackers. Its pretty ironic that 2 minutes ago before I read this thread, there were 3 bots running around Vine tomb.

Its pretty funny that ever since the re-addition of XTrap that I now get whispered the junk that the spam bots spam in the public chat. The spam-bots are evolving.
