Are We Beta or Not?

I have seen this kicked back and forth several times so as I was reading on the official forums about the x-trap issue i came across this post:

huh? wait...
they're profiting from a cash store, which is only supposed to show up when commercial version is released, but they say we're still beta? o_O

You don't have to buy from the CS.

Yea, I figured as much.
I remember when I PM'd Break as per my ban, and he told me that I couldn't play UNTIL the official launch, meaning that yes, this is still beta.
Beta with cash items that is :O

And CS could have bugs that need to be worked out also.

But CS open or not CSR Hal states we are still Beta.

having to buy means nothing, nowadays the trend is making games without monthly fee, CS only.

anyways, I still find it odd o_O
in other games I've played, company profit = official launch.
