For the last 25-30 years our regulation system has been broken. The foxes have been running the henhouse. That's the basic reason we're having our current mess. That and we've moved away from actually making THINGS. Our manufacturing base has gone down the toilet.

I'm all for regulation. It's the only thing that's been proven to really WORK.

On the healthcare front, however, we're ridiculous. 50 million uninsured, i believe it was? That's absolutely absurd for a country that claims to be the leading world superpower. The sad thing is, untill the democrats stop being so weak, the republicans open their minds, or, even less likely, they both get out of the pockets of insurance companies, nothing's going to change.

I agree that there should be a program in place similar to Medicare, but available to the people that can't afford private health insurance. The current plan is a steaming pile. We should be able to afford it. We just might have to not make a few planes. Or close a few bases around the world. I think we're safe from the Germans by now.

You'd rather let the insurance companies have complete control? I hate the government as much as the next guy, but corporations are at least 20 times worse.

50 Million Uninsured, sire. How can you possibly say that our system isnt flawed when we- the U.S.- one of the most economically advanced countries out there- have 50 Million uninsured people out there, while countries like Canada have everyone taken care of?
