Pets?

I'm on Bijou, and I see people selling pets for about 20s. My question is, how does one go about making their own pet (if making is even the right verb there)?

You don't make pets. You either get them from GM events, Treasure chests randomly located across the game, or buy one from the Cash shop.

Ok thanks! I guess I have to start keeping my eyes peeled for treasure chests ^^;;

Looking at the CS pets though, I notice they're also 30 days. Are the pets people sell in their mush houses and the ones you can find in the world also only 30 days in duration?

Pets gained from treasure chests last forever, but they will only give +1 to every stat. CS pets are the only ones who give +5 to every stat.

The Mini Slime, Kebing & Honeying pets are permanent.

Amd I don't think the CS pets can be sold or traded.

Are the treasure chest locations relevant to the "natural habitat" of the corresponding monster? Coincidentally, is there a list of known locations where the treasure chests are likely to spawn?

My understanding is that treasure chest spawns are totally random.
