The KQ's are still good for exp. Just try not to pull aggro so you don't die too much. Depending on how you allocated your stat points and skill points if you do a LOT of damage you may need to back down a little and not spam your skills. Also, if you die don't hit the warp button until you have no option - wait for a rez before you use up a heart.
Survive to the end and the exp is decent. And, unlike dying in FoT or Sand Beach or wherever, when you die in KQ you don't lose the exp you gained, you just don't get the big exp awarded at the end.
Yeah, getting to the end is always better! Go for it!
