Having a hard time to level
I'm lv 18, and i'm having a damn hard time leveling up. I got into the KQ several times, but I got killed in all of them. I train on mara pirates and sometimes joker kebings (with party). Is there any other easier ways of leveling up? (also, i'm pretty poor)

Join parties more than solo. Mages soloing can be slow since we die easily. And when in a KQ, make sure you're with a party that has a cleric that can rez. Also.. keep HP pots and stones handy, can't always depend on clerics.

I tried that, too. but I usually kill all the monsters and only get a tiny amount of the exp.

Don't worry about it. They design the game so that when you're near the next x0 level, it gets really long and takes a long time. And because you are near the next KQ usually at x9.
If you get to CP, I could try to help you get to 20. EDIT: Oops, sorry. I though you were in Teva. ^^;; |

I could probably help you get to 20. I'm in Apoline, my tanker and I can head to CP for a bit.
Also - I have a mage who had trouble like yours. I just stuck to boars and boogies (yummy drops there, it pays for the armor). |
dont worry too much about the small amount of exp you're getting during a KQ... if you success.. you get a nice big chunk of EXP at the end... and that's wat's worth doing the KQ...
if you try to solo the KQ and dies, u gain less exp than u could've otherwise... |
Mage... Is best suited for parties.
Besides... If my brother can get to level 21 without grinding, so can you :P He's really lazy and he hardly ever has time to play, but he still got to level 21 :P But yea... I played my brother's mage and soloing is really crap. That's why I went back to my cleric :3 |
The KQ's are still good for exp. Just try not to pull aggro so you don't die too much. Depending on how you allocated your stat points and skill points if you do a LOT of damage you may need to back down a little and not spam your skills. Also, if you die don't hit the warp button until you have no option - wait for a rez before you use up a heart.
Survive to the end and the exp is decent. And, unlike dying in FoT or Sand Beach or wherever, when you die in KQ you don't lose the exp you gained, you just don't get the big exp awarded at the end. Yeah, getting to the end is always better! Go for it! |
Im just gonna play every 2 hours (joinKQ) and hit the monsters in it 2-4 times each and wait for da big chunk of exp at the end. (and mine all the sexy, sexy ores while the other guys are fightin.)
