Kiting in Fiesta Online ?

Most mages shouldn't even need to kite. I just stand far enough away to fire two shots and the monster is dead.

even for a mage kiting is just a suicide trip. You are bound to run into other agros when you go into the higher lvls. Also most monsters are faster or as fast as you, and since you have to stop to cast, they catch up to you easily

For a Mage to stand still and just try tanking is also a suicide trip if u watch Fires YouTube Videos. You will see he shoots shooots shooots then moves he doesnt move far but he still moves which essentially kiting.

That only works at lower lvls...again watch Fires Youtube Videos..so you can get a idea of how much hp mobs have later on.

I don't know about mages really, I just know Kiting is a stupid idea for archers. But I assume mages havei t worse, depending on the build again.

Kiting doesnt mean that you are running all over the area...it jus means that you dont stand still to let the mob hit you more then once. So if you take one step back you are still technically "kiting" Standing still is a even dumber idea specially for archers and mages when fighting higher lvl mobs. I dont think you'll be dropping those in 2-3 hits anytime soon.

Tequila! your right about that! i use to run around from monster in the Prison! except if i had a dmg. absorption buff!
So kiting is not only hit run! =)

if you need to run from a monster, I've said this before, then go to a different lower monster. Thats all there is to it. It's not like you HAVE to kill those monsters, not even for quests. You can finish quests whenever. Also this game almost enforces partying.
