No it won't. The chances are still the same. However, since you are attacking at a faster rate, it will seem that you are critting more often. And remember if an axe user is to use that build, an axe user will definitely crit more often than a sword user with that build.

I agree completely.

With the same build same earrings, the axe will always have a 2% critical rate over a 1-handed sword user.

7% (base) + 5% (license) + 5% (build) + 2% (earrings) = 19%
5% (base) + 5% (license) + 5% (build) + 2% (earrings) = 17%

I dislike it when people compare axes and swords using other items with stat-increase but not applying it to both. It makes the appearance of a "better" weapon, when it infact isn't...

The only thing a sword has over an axe with all things considered equal is the attack rate and aim. Aside from that there is nothing otherwise that can make a sword better than an axe under equal conditions.

Yes and if I'm not wrong, if you compare a level 40 axe to a level 50 sword, you'll find that the axe has a higher dps.

what said was not that the 1h sword will out damage the axe
neither did i say that the 1h sword will have a higher chance to crit.
i said it will crit more often in a given time. which it will

I must say that you didn't include in your post that the stats and item were applied to both weapons so it isn't that clear.
