You don't have a option to not allow your phone to sync with your mailbox?
I have that with mine so it only checks when I check. For me that's to save battery (and I don't get urgent e-mails to begin with that can wait for me to get to my desktop) but I'm guessing that will cut back on your data usage too.

I can't even keep my phone for that long cause something new and shiny pops up the next day.

When going through the Android market. A lot of the games cannot be played on HTC it seems... but they're still nice phones. :P

^ That's the thing. Caller ID is always another 5-10 bucks depending on where you are.
I switched to WIND mobile and got their promotional plan which is 29/mo for a year with unlimited talk, text, and data with caller ID. After a year it's 45/mo but that's still half of what I used to pay at Bell.
The only catch is that when I go to visit my fiance in Surrey I don't have very good reception because their calling/reception/whatever radius is still quite small. And also no reception when I go underground transit or concrete building.
