^ Lmao. Don't worry Syn, I'm here for ya.
As for the topic at hand, I'm sure what I've said has already been stated, but here are my two cents. I agree that the first impressions of the Cleric's absorb skill lean towards "omg". Hell, even when I first partied with someone who used it, I couldn't believe how broken it was. Absorbing 1000+ damage means you suddenly have an extra 1k life, renewable whenever it went down. I couldn't fathom to think how broken it'd be in PvP, after witnessing it first hand in PvM.
However, as I progressed into the game, I soon found out that it only seems overpowered at first. Understand that damage doesn't stay at 50's and 60's. The higher you level, so does your HP and Damage output. What does this mean? During the 20's, 1000HP damage may seem like alot, especially with monsters doing less than 100's on you. However, the higher the lvl you attain, you'll soon realize that damage increases as well. At around 40, the damage done is can range anywhere from 50~200. Also remember that monsters at this lvl are as mobby as ever, and you'll be getting multiple times, thus draining the shield quickly. In the end, the skill itself becomes a simple necessity in fighting Bosses, beating KQs, surviving Aggro heavy areas, and giving the healer even the tiniest amount of breathing room to heal.
In PvP, it's pretty much the same. Sure it seems really "Broken" at first. With you taking a long time to break down that 1k HP shield, but the higher the lvl, the less it'll bother you. Not to say it's impossible to beat a cleric during the lower lvls, each class has its own way of taking them down (No need for me to get into them here). Some classes more capable than others. Instead of worrying about what should be nerfed, you should worry about what classes should be given a little aid. Just one big gaping example would be the archers, they get no love.
