I think most probably it has something to do with one of your .dll in your system32. To be more specific, the .dll which controls what themes you can use for your computer, uxtheme.dll. After I patched mine, my text just turned to pinkish all of a sudden. And the connection between the two is that both have got to do with graphics. So that's my conclusion.

I thought it had something to do with transparency, so I was fiddling with that. I'll check this out too and see if I come up with anything.
