Trust me, it definitely won't be fixed in the past few weeks. I've had that problem ever since I started playing LoL on my old comp. They say they're looking at it, but they've never found a fix.
I suggest you to redownload the client all over.
1. Uninstall and delete all LoL related files.
2. Shut your computer.
3. Wait a few mins (this isn't necessary, but I swear it definitely works again when I do it).
4. Turn on your comp.
5. Redownload LoL.
6. Reinstall into a different directory.
7. Cross your fingers and hope for the best.

But I see a lot of people having similar issues to the patch. And Riot posted saying they're working on a patcher that will solve patch issues. Were there people with similar problems as you when it happened to you?
