Yeah, I have yet to have worked with a pleasant client. First two were computer illiterate. I asked to have images sent and because they don't know how to get it onto a CD I was sent 20+ e-mails each with one or two images each that were larger than wallpapers being straight from the camera.
And the current one, well, the client is fine but their mother... ffs... not that I expected much but the level of respect I got from her for doing this job for free I should throw something at her face.
... if and when you start doing freelance visit AIGA and get a design contract ready regardless of who you are dealing with even if it's your best friend. Without it you will be screwed over... something they don't exactly teach in school.

Man I'm helping with the renewing of our website at work, and our coder is a crap designer.. (he's purely just a coder) I end up doing the design in photoshop (and you guys know my limited skills and creativity).. My boss is asking for ridiculous stuff AND DO IT QUICKLY!!
I hate it when they think they've got a great idea, and you you spend ages working on it then they go "that doesn't look good"
I feel bad coz they're asking for really weird stuff from our Coder and he's working for free for us, they're so damn demanding, just accept it!!
