I'm really beginning to dislike Apoline. Its filled with idiots. Its way overcrowded. And before whatever happened I was able to get into like 2 KQ's every time they came up. Now I can barely even get into one. In all honesty I think Teva is the best choice for any new player who isn't a gold farmer, an idiot, etc. Just keep filling Apoline. At least that way none of the other servers will have to deal with it.
They need to make at least two new servers and allow people to move their characters between them. I mean, not forever, but as a one time event kinda thing. Because... I gotta lot of stuff on Apoline and if I were to just give it all away i'd be an idiot. If I can (and hopefully will) sell all the junk i've acquired I could make well over 10s maybe even 20s. Thats a lot. Thats at least three or four skills or an entirely new set of armor.
Anyways, Fighters are great for taking hits but thats about it. They're nothing but meat shields. And the damage they do is just way too low. Clerics are great and all because they can heal themselves and pretty much don't require HP potions. But they too don't do much damage and can't tank as well as Fighters. Archers? Eh... they're not as fun as I thought. I've been playing one and i'm already bored with him. I just wanted to get to level 15 to try out my new bow but now i'm beginning to just want to delete him.
Which I probably will do and then sell all his stuff. Mages, in my opinion, are the best. But thats a very biased opinion seeing as how I usually never play classes that don't deal with magic. They might not have the best HP in the world but if you just spam the hell out of your spells (especially Magic Missile) you can sometimes kill the enemy before they even reach you. Of course, you're going to want to empower Magic Missile because thats the spell you'll use the most. Don't use it above [01].
I still haven't really figured out a good build for it yet. I was thinking of just going pure SPR. Lots of SP and with all those spells you'll be casting you'll probably get several crits while you're at it too. The Mages first armor looks like crap. The second one isn't too bad. But the others look pretty feckin' sweet. I can't wait until I get high enough level to use them. Also, as strange and unbelievable as this may sound with a Power, Vitality, and Shield scroll you can pretty much tank as a Mage. I did it in the King Slime's Counterattack KQ.
I was able to take on Prince Slimes without being killed and I did loads of damage to them as well. And when we got to the King Slime I was able to take on both Prince Slimes and the Queen Slime and I did not die once. It took a lot of HP potions though. And I didn't get anything good from that KQ either. A bit of a bummer you don't get rewarded fairly in them. Thats something that definitely needs to change. So, again, in my (biased) opinion Mages are the best class. But just remember one thing... i'm the best Mage there ever was, will be, and has been. :)

If you hate Apoline so much, just restart on Teva. No need to write an entire one-sided and arrogant rant about it. Mages are easy to level anyways. They deal too much damage, allowing them to level up fast, rather than to rest every few kills like fighters and archers.

I went back to Teva. After another failed rush Mara KQ with idiots who are too thickheaded to listen to what someone has to say about non rushing ones (as in that I've finished more non-rushing ones then rushing ones) I decided it was time for me to go back to Teva. Might show my nose every now and then though, I still gotta give my friend his slime back.

And the good spells have major cool down times that really hurt us.

Can't help but notice how far OT this has gotten for a post that's focused (no longer) on Teva or Apoline..
Okay, lets get this straight. EVERY class relies on main skill in which they spam a lot. It just so happens for mages, MM1 is the best out of all MM levels. Your low damage for the cooldown makes up for the fact that you do less damage than all your high cooldown skills like ice, lit, and fire. In case you haven't noticed, mages generally do outdamage archers as well, which is why mages are the dpsers. I don't even need to mention fighters or clerics as they don't come close to your killing speed or damage at all.
So essentially, you want to lower cooldowns on your higher level skills, making mages gain even MORE of an advantage than they already have?

Mages do not have an advantage over anyone. The only reason Mages are such great DPSers is because they can pop off 4+ spells within usually a five second span then spam MM[01]. But they still don't do that much damage (in my opinion). Maybe you think they do but thats your opinion. And yes, I want them to lower the cool down times on higher leveled spells. I think 15+ seconds is too much. I think it should be at 10 seconds or allow the empowering to reduce the cool down time a little bit more than it already does. You know, you really shouldn't attack other peoples opinions. I don't mind discussing mind but you're just flat out attacking me. Cool down, its just a game and its just my opinion on a class in that game.
