you also get a huge pain in the ayse from trying to get in to get married, but hopefully that is getting easier

I thought it was actually +5% to all your stats and if your spouse is with you isn't it +10%? Because I've seen that unless it was just the game glitching

Yes, that is correct. If you are in a party with your spouse you get +10% to all stats
