I use Polygonal lasso, since the magnetic one and Magic Wand cut within the selected area a little bit.
My screens are all really grainy, so I take close up shots then make them 50-80% the original size. Eliminates the problem for me.

Ohh... Okay, I think I've been mixing up the 2. I thought magnetic = polygonal. xD I only thought there were two lassos... I don't know why I never noticed the magnetic one. o-o" Maybe because I never used it.
