I thought they turned the yellow bar thing off on purpose because of the way it can be exploited...

Uh... 4 seconds adds up after a while especially if you're heavy duting farming stuff like you could when there were mushroom/sap spawns all over the place in AEW.

I think it was mostly for MD ore/treasure chest event purposes.

That would be amazing... I only saw people use it in Echo Cave. While botting, of course. (Not me. -_-)
