So.. how does the party sytem in Fiesta work?
What are the max level difference for two people to party?

I have no idea but when I was level 30+, I was partying with Chinh/Dyna/Wacky and we were plvling Kuhn who was only level 5 or 6 back then (forgot exact levels, but around there).

Benefits of partying? Apart from sharing exp?
More people = more bonus exp. Also, for cleric buffs, the buffs are stronger with more people in it. For example, the buffs Protect and Resist will increase up to 60% with five people in the party.

Who gets the drop after a mob has been killed? Can anyone in the party pick the items up, and does it go to the person, or is there a setting to make it randomly go to a party member's inventory?
You can have settings for either of those. If you're party leader, just right click your pic on the top left hand corner and click Free Allocation for anyone to pick up, or Sequential Allocation for people to take turns getting drops.

And if you party during a quest... will it say that i've "punished" a monster even if it was my party member that has killed it?

Yes I think so, as long as your party member gets last hit (not sure about first hit or the most damage).
