The poll was something a member did and was purely for fun. The mods were chosen based on nominations and the reasons given in those nominations. And yes, two mods became inactive and there were openings.

But if that's true... then there were 2 inactive mods, and 2 active... and those 2 active would have chosen the mods.

So that's like giving the people in power the right to say who they want as mods.

That sir, defeats the purpose of voting, or nominating even.

I think the correlation is wrong.

Mods weren't chosen because they are in G__G. Mods were chosen because they were active, helpful members. G__G members were chosen because they were active members.

I was in Rush still when I became a mod. Soon after that, I decided to disband Rush because many of the membes had quit the game and there was only 4 of us left. A week after joining, I got an offer from G____G to join, because I knew all/many of the members, and they knew me, coincidently via Fiestafan and the game. lvramire and I also went guildless for awhile because we wanted to see what guild offers we would get. I didn't join right away, I wanted to make sure G____G would take lvramire, Rofellos, and toolrocket. So please don't think there's some link between G____G and the mods. Thats just a coincidence.

Opening up the nomination to the general population might have turned it into a popularity contest.

The United States actually uses the same system. It's called the Electoral College... :3 It prevents a mobocracy (in theory).

Yes... it is a coincidence, but at this moment... it's a very convienent one.

Yeah.. it doesn't really matter who gets the most votes, they will just choose who would be best fit for the job.

It's based on whether or not you're in G____G
