From my own experience I had gone a 25 SPR full DEX build. I was able to kill Blue Trumpies without an Aim Scroll for one thing. Plus, it seems that the poison/bleed status will kick in with better aim.
In terms of production. Though pots are helpful in the earlier stages I've never gotten it past teir 1. Scrolls are of course your best friend... you can use it or sell it. Now I leveled fast enough that by the time I really needed to use tier 2 pots I wasn't able to make em cause my production exp was too low and I can no longer get the mats I needed. Instead of getting an alternate to farm for you, you can actually go with Decomposition and be able to decomp mats to make more scrolls for yourself. I've always depended on stones and the pots used were ones I found only.
