hhmmm...

a webcam with a built in mic is not the good compare to the actual mic or a mic in a headset...the mic of most webcams captures surrounding noises that easilly because its placed mostly at the top or somewhere near the monitor (plus, it has no noise filtering unlke other mics).

for the webcam part, why not try creative products... i read that their webcam software is really good. like what youve said, you could be a shark or whatever! lol! im using a creative webcam vista right now but im on windows XP so thats why i dont have that new software they have. and i think creative is much cheaper than logitech right?
