Okay they have these like resteraunts. Low tables and no chairs (I think everyone here is mostly buffed up on asian culture so I shouldnt have to explain this part) And they have these like metal rings in the middle of the table. Outside the resteraunt they have huge tanks full of fresh seafood. HUMONGOUS fish, squid, octopi, flounder. And you go in, and pick THE fish you want, or whatever. you watch the guy pull it out of the tank, alive. And kill it right in front of you. Then they cook it on those little metal rings on your table, cause those are heating coils for the pans. I HATE seafood but its a neat concept.

They also have dried fish on a stick. Then they have these weird street vendor foods that look like corndogs, but their like crab, or fish. The street vendors have the uber weirdest foods. I only eat the chicken on a stick.

They do serve dog here. Its not found in common resteraunts though. Its not like a "Lets serve dog as a beef alternative" type of thing, its for more traditional meals and is really hard to find. You wont get it if your american and ask for it. You gotta take some korean soldiers with you, cause they wont serve it to americans. Its a rare dish too, so dont believe this stuff about them sneakin dog meat into your meal.

Very interesting. And although I do no know a lot about the Korean culture, I have never thought dof was snuck in. I thought it was common over there and a part of their culture. Kinda like how we eat chicken, cows, pigs, and stuff.

But, I find all this very interesting, so feel free to keep us Americans informed, as I will prolly never get to go there.

its considered a cultural thing, and as such is not exactly open to foreigners. Its not so much that they dislike americans, its that its a traditional thing that they presume a foreigner wouldnt understand. they know the subject of eating dog is tabboo to us, so out of respect they try not to expose us to it.
