Korea
Well korea is great. I mean the weather is okay for right now. But im told the rainy season is commin up so, thats gonna suck a bit. Then they got this stuff called HwangSa (Yellow Sand) Its like sand particles that blow in on the winds from china, mongolia to be exact, and it makes the sky all hazy, like smog in LA, except its not smog. And the food here is INCREDIBLE!!! I mean its funny, ive always been told that when you go to another country the food tastes different. Personaly I thought that was el torro poopoo, but its not.
Honest to god, the food tastes different, but in a good way. And man is it GOOD! They have street vendors and, while yes its not completely safe to eat food from street vendors, it tastes SO good. For 2000 won (about 2 bucks) you can get a huge spike with chicken on it. they smear some orange kinda chef boyardee lookin sauce on it, but it smells...I cant describe it. It makes me hungry thinking about it. Then they have this resteraunt called Lotteria. its like a korean mcdonalds, except better. And the customer service is outstanding. You dont get some snotty teenaged girl who doesnt care about you or your order because she has to set up her next booty call on cryspace mobile. You get "employees" who actually "do their jobs". Now if only americans could follow this example, I might eat out again.
And the people. Well im not gonna say they are all friendly. But 99% of them leave you alone. The only time I was even bothered by a korean local was on the subway by an old drunk man who spoke broken english. I got enough from him to gather that he was a korean war veteran. Speaking of subways the mass transit system is stellar. for 1000 won I can go roughly 12 kilometers in ANY direction down the subway line, get off here, transfer there, jump around and as long as I dont leave that 12 km boundry, I could do it all day. And there is a WORLD of stuff to see within 12km of Seoul. I went to Seoul Tower in Namsan park and got lost lol. they had an outdoor gym called the Alpine club and you had to climb a secluded set of steep stairs to find it. No one was there which made it look kinda creepy but man was it ever cool.
I dunno its like 540 am and im kinda getting an insomniatic high which is why im spewing from the mouth about random crap in korea, but its still awesome. I think once im done in the army im gonna go native and disappear into Seoul with my family, never to be heard from again. I love this place. Kinda miss the states though but only because my family is there. And the fiesta servers. So I hope you enjoyed this session of random thoughts firing off like a multiple launch rocket system into random directions. Maybe ill add to this later. the fact that I have to go to work in 20 minutes is derailing my train of thought.

Okay they have these like resteraunts. Low tables and no chairs (I think everyone here is mostly buffed up on asian culture so I shouldnt have to explain this part) And they have these like metal rings in the middle of the table. Outside the resteraunt they have huge tanks full of fresh seafood. HUMONGOUS fish, squid, octopi, flounder. And you go in, and pick THE fish you want, or whatever. you watch the guy pull it out of the tank, alive. And kill it right in front of you. Then they cook it on those little metal rings on your table, cause those are heating coils for the pans. I HATE seafood but its a neat concept.
They also have dried fish on a stick. Then they have these weird street vendor foods that look like corndogs, but their like crab, or fish. The street vendors have the uber weirdest foods. I only eat the chicken on a stick.

I've found this joke online:
The worst fate for a dog would be to guard the border between the North And South Korea.
