I've been pronouncing the letter "H" wrong my entire life! Kinda ironic esp when my own name starts with a H.

I blame that on my Hong Kong English education that has taught me to pronounce it "Haitch".

I never noticed that I'm pronouncing it wrong until just recently when my boss starts to correct me everytime I say "Haitch".

She picks on me for saying "bat-tery" too.. coz we're suppose to pronounce it "Bat-chery"..

I think it's the Aussie way of lazy pronunciation..

Just tell them it's a different regional accent and to get the fuck over it.

Then start working in alternate pronunciations of all sorts of words. My favorite is aluminum.

Do you pronounce the "h" in white and while too...? Bugs me when people do that.
