One of the most facinating thing we found in Japan, are these individually wrapped Onigiri (rice balls)
Everyone knows that seaweed gets soggy if u leave it with the cooked rice, so how do they keep it fresh?!
Peel the wrapping down the middle, starting from the top...
...all the way around to the back.
Pull out the plastic on the right.
Then pull out the plastic on the left.
Ta-Da! You've got a fresh tasty onigiri, without soggy seaweed. The plastic is packed so that the seaweed has no direct contact with the rice.
I thought that was ingenious!
