when it says bonus of +50% drop rate, does that mean.

Do I get 1.5 times more drops

A 50% better chance to get better drops

what exactly does it mean.


If I get one will I be able to complete the mud quest 1.5 times faster?

I've heard that it doesn't work all that well...

I remember that there was a complain that people arent getting much more drops using a HWR, and the GM said "well if you're not meant to get the drops, 0% x 50% is still 0.

Which sounds kinda stupid to me... but then again, I do question how much detail a GM would know regarding a CS item like that...

Not worth it. I've used 1 hour ones from PVP KQ but I wouldn't pay for one.

I've noticed that they seem to be more useful on chief mobs like Queen Spiders instead of Queen Spiders since those things have a higher drop rate to begin with.

Yeah don't get it. Used it once before but I don't feel much difference. Plus I dunno if it works with quest items..

Well I needed safety hats from skeldetal miners,and a fighter had HWR, it made the item drop about 90% of the time. Without HWR I was getting a way lower drop rate.

Seems to help with really annoying quests like Mud, Lizard Knight, Gold Bat hairs, but for anything else its not worth it.

I have been spending ALOT of time in concealed peak. Farming GGK mostly but also observing things as far as drop rates go. Ive watched alot of parties fight ggk without war rants. I watched a party farm ggk for an hour without the rant, and then me and my wife farmed ggk for an hour and I have a rant on, and at the end we got far more items than the other party. Some dropped nothing, some dropped armor, ring and weapons in one drop. The rant does help, but it also boosts your chances of getting alot of junk too, like mats.

It doesn't work well (for the price). I tried it with the King Mushroom quest (60 spores is a pain), and nothing changed. I did get more material drops, but that's not what I needed (that's what buy/sell vendors are for). This should like 100 SparkCash for 60 days.

Love the rant, it does help with quest drops. At the higher levels the drop rates do decrease but the amount of drops you get remains 50% greater than otherwise.

In a party it only works if the person with the rant makes the kill and if the party is on sequential the others will share in the increased drop rate.

After farming GOC for a total of 8 hours, and 26 GOC kills (I counted, yes.) The following happened:
12 kills without warrant:
Nothing x4
Int/spr ring
end/dex ring

14 kills with warrant:
Nothing x2
lv 55 mage top + end/dex

EDIT: Warrant used was the 1-hout 50% one from pvp kq.

what the lvl limit for GOC now? still 60 to 70 or does increase like GGK 40-56

War rant apparently works better with bosses.

When the thing first came out I had it on all the time... worked nicely... that I even got myself an iron case. But after one patch the drop rate dramatically decreased. So I have not touched that thing since unless I had a free one from apprenticeship. Unless you plan on farming bosses or doing an annoying quest... not worth it.

I went on a 2-hour GH farming spree with one guy who had a HWR, two other DDs (myself included), and a cleric. We basically made bee-lines straight for the GHs, farming them as quickly as we could. Found either 3 lv 75 blue warrior armor pieces, two shirts and one boots. Though we usually found mage blue armor drops on the other days... funny how that works. In any case, the shirt is GODLY so I'm very happy.

Apparently, the guy who was using the HWR said he used one while farming GH the other night and got the entire Arctic Set, and he's a mage. Other times, I've tried farming GH without war rant and never even found a GH weap or anything. So if you're determined to farm bosses for the more uncommon drops, it's not a bad idea...

well actually, my friends did a guild helga raid(and veat helga..with only a guilds worth...o.o) and like only 5 of them had that but they got an extra helga drop im pretty sure.

Helga's a bit different. I'm hearing his droprate is currently at 200%? Hard to believe but... yeah...

yeah the guild is planning on farming helga if possible o.o;;
