Spirit is sad
Spirit had a wreck on the way home from work today.
It was Spirit's fault. :cries: I was not driving too fast or being stupid. It was just one of those things. The truck in front of me, along with me yielded where we were supposed to. Nothing was coming. The only light that was green was for people getting off the other side of the interstate. He went. I looked back, saw nothing coming, I went. He slammed on his brakes. I saw the bright red lights of his brakes, looked back up and slammed on my brakes. Just not fast enough. His trailer hitch went through my bumper of my truck. His truck not damaged. Ummm.... he was a fireman. :zomg: He actually put on his little fireman jacket and was directing traffic. Okay, it was like 20 something degrees outside. The cop wrote the report up in like 5 minutes. He was flying through the whole process. He did not even care that I did not have a current insurance card (the law in this state). The whole process usually takes about 30-45 minutes. He didn't really ask us what happened. I told him up front it was my fault and that was good enough. He was freezing and just wanted us gone. |
aw... -pat spirit-

wow
so how much was the fine hope ur car/truck gets fixed fast |
DD: -hugs-

There was no fine. I do have insurance, I just didn't have proof. But, the cop was so cold, he didn't press the issue, like he could have.
To get my truck fixed, I have a 500 dollar deductible. My insurance will pay for any damage he claims. |
Wow... Manzcar is sad to :cries: Dishwasher leaked causing damage to hardwood floors and dishwasher is to broken to be fixed.
Need to get new dishwasher and fix warped floors in kitchen. |
o.o" At least no one was hurt. *hugs Spirit*

Dang, that sucks. :( I guess it could have been worse though. I remember a few years back someone hit me like that in my work truck and messed up their car, but my truck was fine thanks to the trailer hitch. Those things are like an invincible shield.

Like not from the police... You might have to pay the other person for dmg or your insurence person... like icbc or w/e |
Yeah, actually there is a new law here that says you have to have proof of current insurance or it is an automatic $500 ticket, even if you DO have insurance. You have to be able to PROVE it at the time the cop asks for it. So, yeah, he could have written me a ticket, but I think because we were all freezing our butts off, the cop was in a hurry and took my word. My card I had expired 07/30/08. I have a new one, but it was at home, doing me no good.

Awww.. it's ok.
I got into a small wreck during Thanksgiving Break. Just bumped into a car's bumper while at the red light because I couldn't slow down fast enough. I'm not a bad driver either. Just happens. |
I rear-ended a dumptruck going 28mph. Our Company Commander did this early morning gay recall thing and I was tired. I fell asleep for a split second while driving on post and boom. My minivan got owned by a dumptrucks, you guessed it, trailer hitch. After that happened, everyone at work called me Tyrone. Like from Snatch.
(for those who do not know, recalls are used to assess combat readiness duing down time. They usualy recall you in the morning. Everyone has to come in and get their gear ready and meet at predetermined areas and pretend to get ready to roll out. |
Wrecks are always hard DX You get all shooken up, sometimes you're insurance isent covered. They suck.
*hugs Spirit* |
