Spirit had a wreck on the way home from work today.
It was Spirit's fault.
I was not driving too fast or being stupid. It was just one of those things.
The truck in front of me, along with me yielded where we were supposed to. Nothing was coming. The only light that was green was for people getting off the other side of the interstate.
He went. I looked back, saw nothing coming, I went. He slammed on his brakes. I saw the bright red lights of his brakes, looked back up and slammed on my brakes. Just not fast enough.
His trailer hitch went through my bumper of my truck. His truck not damaged.
Ummm.... he was a fireman.

He actually put on his little fireman jacket and was directing traffic.
Okay, it was like 20 something degrees outside. The cop wrote the report up in like 5 minutes. He was flying through the whole process. He did not even care that I did not have a current insurance card (the law in this state).
The whole process usually takes about 30-45 minutes. He didn't really ask us what happened. I told him up front it was my fault and that was good enough. He was freezing and just wanted us gone.
