! Updated version at Help:editing - Icy 19:09, 25 June 2008 (CDT)

The following is a description of how to edit information using the template.

All entries must be made in the following format:

{{Drop
|Name=Fire Mushroom
|Lv=5
|Dust=LQ
|Fruit=LQ
|Crystal=LQ
|HPPot=T1
|SPPot=T1
|Other=Return Scroll: Roumen
}}

An explanation of what the lines are for:

{{Drop
    [...]
}}

This calls out the template at Template:Drop, and everything inside the {{ }} will be processed for the template.

|Var=value

Every one of these lines simply declares a variable, which the template makes use of.

Usage:

There is one variable for each generic material. This is a list of all of them:

|Name=	//Required. Monster name
|Lv=	//Required. Monster level
|Leather=	//Torn, Crude, Tough, and Premium Leathers (LQ, N, HQ, HQ+)
|BL=	//Beast Leather LQ, Normal, HQ, Mermaid's Scale (LQ, N, HQ, HQ+)
|SBL=	//Summoned Beast Leather LQ, Normal, HQ, Summoned Beast's Tooth (LQ, N, HQ, HQ+)
|Dogtooth=	//Beast Dogtooth LQ, Normal, HQ, Beast's Head (LQ, N, HQ, HQ+)
|Tail=	//Summoned Beast Tail, Summoned Beast Fighter's Tail (LQ, N)
|Dusts=	//All dusts Old, Dim, Glowing/Lustered, Shining (LQ, N, HQ, HQ+)
|Meat=	//Tough, Tender, Chewy, Tasty Meats (LQ, N, HQ, HQ+)
|Fruit=	//Spirit's Fruit LQ, Normal, HQ, Highest Quality (LQ, N, HQ, HQ+)
|Crystal=	//Magic Crystal LQ, Normal, HQ, Highest Quality (LQ, N, HQ, HQ+)
|Bones=	//Crushed, Broken, Intact, Strong Bones (LQ, N, HQ, HQ+)
|Sign=	//Vanished Sign, Sign of Trace, Preserved Sign, Ancient Sign (LQ, N, HQ, HQ+)
|HP=	//HP Potion (T1, T2, T3, T4 [Regen])
|SP=	//SP Potion (T1, T2, T3, T4 [Regen])
|License=	//Whether it drops a license. Y or N. Make a note if it does not drop its own license
|Quest=	//Quest Items
|Other=	//Other drops

There is no need to list all of them. If a generic material is not dropped by that monster, do not include a line for it. The template is made to fill a block with grey when it does not get a value for a variable. If a monster drops two grades of the same generic material, list both with a comma separating them.

Notes

  • You can look up monster levels here. You can find a list of the generic materials here.
  • The table headers are not part of the template and should be left alone. The template only contains code for a table row.

I think that, we can found, so many mobs same mobs in differen locations... Shall I make one table with alphabetical mobs name order?

P.S. Sorry for my bad English... --Simek 13:58, 2 August 2007 (EDT)

One thing to say...

I don't know whose idea it is, but people "Old spirit dust" is NOT a scroll material, it's a stone material!!!

Belaslav 22:54, 13 August 2007 (EDT)

  • It is an error carried through from the game until Outspark fix it. In game it is called a scroll material. Dezza 16:43, 17 March 2008 (CDT)

Regarding families of drops

From what I've noticed, monsters always drop a family of things: if some monster drops Dim Soul Dusts, it will also drop Dim Gem Dusts and Dim Spirit Dusts; if it drops Magic Crystals, it will also drop Spirit Fruits of the same quality; if it drops Beast Leathers, it will also drop Beast Dogtooth and Leathers of the same quality. Something like the Dusts, should simply be included in the table as Old Dusts, Dim Dusts, Lustered/Glowing Dusts, or Shining Dusts, rather than 3 rows of each of the dusts. Icy

  • Yes they do, perhaps that would be a good idea for this page. However, for the actual monster page, people may want more information. For example, a project I was working on recently I recorded all the drops I got off a Smart Phino to work out a % chance of a drop being a certain type. Here are the results where you can see that there is a small chance of getting a higher leveled item. However, people may be searching for the best monster to farm tough meat off, rather than everything in the tough meat family. But yeah, for this page perhaps just the type of drop would be better. -- Dezza (Talk), 8/4/08 17:24 BST
I don't see how it is possible to see which monster is the best to farm anything from, just looking at this table xP The quality of the 'farm' relies on its homogeneity and population more than anything else. What you actually get is limited in terms of material quality; it depends on your own level, since there are only so few mobs that will give you drops. Plus, you tend to get the same amount of each material from the same family (and the same quality). Icy

Shining Ring of Rumen from a Slime

I rest my doubts on the validity of that. Icy

This ring and it's counterparts (Brave ring of Rumen/Elderine/Urga) are all rare drops. From my understanding they can drop from any monster in any zone, at any level, any time. Completely random drop. All have a chance of dropping it but the chance is just very low.Gandalfa82 03:04, 8 August 2008 (CDT)
Yep, that's right. But, as it is, this page is just a collection of whatever people got from monsters. If I had things my way, return scrolls, copper/silver bars, and rare items wouldn't be on the list. Icy 03:35, 8 August 2008 (CDT)
Could do a All Monster Drop list. All Monsters have a chance of dropping the following Items: Return Scroll Roumen, Copper Lump, Shining Ring of Rumen, Brave Ring of Rumen, Legendary Necklace of Rumen, Heavely Necklace of Rumen. Just a suggestion. Then you can center it on what items are unique to that mob.Gandalfa82 12:07, 8 August 2008 (CDT)
You don't know the level ranges (of monsters) for these drops. Icy 18:03, 8 August 2008 (CDT)
Rumen stuff is level 1+, Copper Lump level 1+, I think level 20 or 40+ for Elderine and Silver Lump, No clue on the Uruga stuff, or Gold Lumps. But your right how about something more like These items have a chance to drop from any monster within their respective level ranges. Do them in a independent table with the headings Name, Drop level. Bottom of table *Due to rarity items without a level are unknown on the range of levels that they will drop. Just an idea to counter balance this problem.Gandalfa82 22:41, 8 August 2008 (CDT)
Yes. It would be a good idea to remove all Lumps and Return Scrolls entries and place a section about them at the top of the page. However, I think information regarding the drop of rare rings should be retained in the table. Icy 06:41, 9 August 2008 (CDT)

Old Tables

Are these getting removed? If not then I will take a few moments to correct links for it.Gandalfa82 03:06, 8 August 2008 (CDT)

Don't bother. They are waiting to be consolidated into the new format. Icy 03:35, 8 August 2008 (CDT)
Reason I asked someone edited one of the bad links. Check the recent list to see what I edited out, I think you deleted the log file already also. I was going to fixed the links if it was going to stay for any amount of time to keep that from happening again. Solve a few problems later, lol.Gandalfa82 12:01, 8 August 2008 (CDT)
I consolidated them into it :) So can it go bye bye now?Gandalfa82 01:06, 9 August 2008 (CDT)
I would remove them myself if I knew about your progress. Yes, remove those please as you merge the info into the new layout. Icy 06:41, 9 August 2008 (CDT)
I completed all before I typed what I wrote. My progress was 100% finish, lol. But I removed them :)Gandalfa82 08:25, 9 August 2008 (CDT)

Slime Jelly

Slime Jelly is a Scroll Material used for Speed Scrolls (3/4) is there anyway that could be added to the list of materials. I will go in and fill in the info from the Other section. I just need a section to drop it in. Jelly= would be nice. LQ, HQ as the Two choices since it only comes in those two. Maybe even think about adding Badge= or later use when the game uses those.Gandalfa82 08:25, 9 August 2008 (CDT)
