Restructuring the monsters section (Materialised, more input needed)

I intend to collate the bits and pieces of information in existing pages, none of which is complete, into a more unified structure in which each page serves a specific purpose, with a greater amount of interlinking amongst the pages, for increased ease of access. These pages should be laid out in such a manner so as to minimise confusion for someone who is contemplating input. This means the removal of repetition of content in several loosely linked pages and in some cases routing links away from certain pages.

If you need to raise your concern with regards to what I have changed, you can either append to this topic, or post a new one on my talk.

Currently, the following pages have been set up:

Requiring attention:

The old table's data need to be recoded. There is now a table showing all grades of materials for reference on the page itself.

Changing the structure of this potentially huge section is as much as I can do as an individual. Unless I gain the assistance of a bot, I will not be updating all the individual monster pages.

Icy 11:37, 30 July 2008 (CDT)

I would like to see a page for each type of monster. The pages are already there just would like to see the full list of monsters that fall under that section. Pages with list of General/Elite Monsters would be nice also (or just break the types into Beast General, Beast Elite). Once this is set up I feel it will help set up the monster individual pages. Restructuring Quest List (Accomplished)

Now that we have an new template and a new patch, it would be of great help if everybody could record down any quests they have received and write down all the quest rewards for that quest.

Also, the previous format for the quests needs to be erased and reformatted to match the new blue/pink format which is easier on the eyes. Blargh.

Ralath 01:07, 23 June 2008 (CDT)

I will add that I am advocating the break up of the list into sections, by level ranges. It is clear that the page is very long indeed, and it is taking a while to load. Everytime I view a diff, some 200 kB caches. Everytime I click on it, some 200 kB caches. Everytime I edit, some 100 kB loads. Everytime I click Preview, some 300 kB loads. Everytime I click Save Page, 200 kB loads. It gets annoying after a while. Not only will fragmenting it make it easier to scroll, it will also reduce bandwith and loading times. Icy 13:03, 23 June 2008 (CDT)
Sure. I dunno what that means but the 100-200-300 numbers sound bad. xD. Isn't it already broken up into level ranges now? Ralath 18:21, 23 June 2008 (CDT)
Everytime I load the page for a difference comparison, the server processes about 100 kB of data and sends me about 250 kB. Everytime I click on Preview, I upload about 95 kB of stuff to the server, which then process another 100 kB to send me another 250 kB PLUS the 92 kB worth of code. And then finally everytime I click Save, I send 92 kB away, and the server process 92 kB again and sends me 250 kB more. Because of the number of view diff - edit - save cycles I do on Quest List, it is starting to bug me.

The raw data of Quest List is over 92 kB, and the rendered page is over 250 kB in size. Icy 15:27, 24 June 2008 (CDT)

The quests page are in need of reworking in the department of the names for mods, items, NPCs. We need to go through to make sure all of these are in the same format throughout the pages. So, what I am asking here is what format do we want to see here? HP Potion (tier 1), HP Potion (1), Lix [1], Lix (1), things like that. The current way it is set up is making a lot of new pages. Gandalfa82 10:50, 4 September 2008 (CDT)

In most cases we'll use the in-game names. So HP Potion (Tier 1), Power (Tier 1) (not Power Increase), Vitality (Tier 1) (Not Vitality Increase; the obvious mistake in the name Vitality Teir x will be corrected on our part), etc. Because square brackets are not allowed as page titles, we shall have Elrue (x), Lix (x), and Xir (x), etc. With Blessed/Lucky Stones, the format is to tag the brackets immediately after the stone name without a space, ie. Lucky Elrue(1). This is the way they are written in the game it seems.
NPC names have been updated, but most of the old ones do conform. It will just be a matter of Find and Replace.
In some cases it may be useful to, instead of indicating actual reward items, present the link to relevant pages and then giving more details in the comment section. Icy 01:00, 5 September 2008 (CDT)

Restructuring Weapons Page (Accomplished)

I was just noticing that the Weapons page is getting very long. Was just wondering if it would be alright to do a major overhaul on this page to make it more then one page.
Pages would be:
*Weapons - Including Weapons, Prefixes, the Weapon Table at the top of each Class area, and an introduction to the Cash Shop.
*Weapons_Class - Tables with Class weapons (maybe Cash Shop below or new page for that?)
*Weapons_Cash_Shop - Include all information regarding Weapons from the Cash Shop. This is just something that I think might make these pages easier to read and navigate. I would be willing to do this once I hear back about it.Gandalfa82 01:03, 6 August 2008 (CDT)

I now have the pages layed out. Information all done and ready to make the pages. Here is what I came up with:
*Weapons

  • Fighter Weapons, Cleric Weapons, Archer Weapons, Archer Mage

This was the only way I could find that would keep all pages large enough to hold all that was needed while having the options to expand as the game does and also have ease of navigation. It is great to have all that information but if you have to spend all day to get through it to find what you need then it is not really that useful. I can have all pages up within 30 mins of when I see that it has been approved.Gandalfa82 02:24, 6 August 2008 (CDT)
I'll look into this and respond soon Icy 03:05, 6 August 2008 (CDT)
The idea is fine and I would also like to see the disappearance of über long pages. However, there is one issue that needs to be thought out before you settle for the new fragmented style - linking. Currently, any reference to any equipment would be directed to either Weapons or Armors. If you branch out these two, the linking will change. I will change the names you have given to these pages later and when I've done so, could you please go through 'What links here' and direct those pages pointing to Weapons to their appropriate section? Icy 03:14, 6 August 2008 (CDT)
I can, but the idea was to keep the Weapons page up as a introduction to weapons and all pages could point there as a routing station for all information about weapons. I will take a look and see what goes there so I can redirect them to the correct pages. I can also do the same thing for Armor when I have more time (if it is needed).Gandalfa82 03:32, 6 August 2008 (CDT)
When I looked I did not see anything that should be linked to a certain page except manybe the one link in the section about Archer Leveling.Gandalfa82 03:32, 6 August 2008 (CDT)
Bear with me, I'm in the process of moving pages around. Will change this bit when I'm done. Icy 03:55, 6 August 2008 (CDT)
Done. The Items template has also been updated. You should browse through the new pages and update any broken links. Icy 04:29, 6 August 2008 (CDT)
Will do. By the way, I had the Cash Shop as it's own page due to the amount that each class has for the cash shop. I foresee future additions with the cash shop and even new level caps after the 120. This was why I set up new pages for these items. To make a look that could expand without having to worry about one page being forever long. I noticed that the information was merged together. I'm not sure if that will be a good idea in the long run. Just my views on the subject. Trying to avoid problems later on. I think Ralath fixed all links but I am not sure. Will check later today when I get home.Gandalfa82 10:21, 6 August 2008 (CDT)
I wouldn't worry about such a problem. Right now, everything you see in the Cash Shop Items sections is many years ahead of Outspark. I support breaking up Weapons page for manageability rather than the length. Icy 16:36, 6 August 2008 (CDT)
All Links updated! I just went through the list and I can not find any link that refers to a missing page or even the wrong page. Might want to double check me on this but they would all be updated now.Gandalfa82 01:25, 7 August 2008 (CDT)

What all is needed to complete this? Any ideas?Gandalfa82 01:25, 7 August 2008 (CDT)

I think this section is done. Changing status. Minor tweaks will occur to the pages, and I've made a start on Mages. Icy 22:27, 13 August 2008 (CDT)

Restructuring Armor Page (Pending)

I took a look at this and it will be fast except I will need something to hold the basic Armor page. I have ideas that I will put up later. The page layout will be Fighter page, Cleric page, Archer page, Mage Page, Cash Shop page (unless need of more like weapons). Basic introduction on the Armor page and then each class will have a very quick introduction.Gandalfa82 03:32, 6 August 2008 (CDT)

I think a similar structure to Weapons would do the job. There are less 'fanciness' to the armour selection, so the pages should be fairly straight forward. Also, I am not aware of any Cash Shop armours around. Those outfits are peripherals and don't actually go into the armour slots. I think the armours are best limited to those that do go into the armour slots. Icy 22:30, 13 August 2008 (CDT)
I was hoping you would say that about the Cash shop not counting, lol. I'll see about updating it soon. It don't take me long to do since I just copy the info into Notepad and lay it out there and then paste it over into Wiki. Does not take me long to update whole sections like that.Gandalfa82 23:07, 13 August 2008 (CDT)
Completed check out Armors_(Archer), Armors_(Cleric), Armors_(Fighter), and Armors_(Mage)
There are more stuff I think should be added to Armors page. I added these comments to the discussion page Talk:ArmorsGandalfa82 12:37, 4 September 2008 (CDT)

Quests Details

Is this something that might be considered? Details could/would include: Conversations for Quests, Details in Quest List, What is needed (walk through), More info on items received. The page that is currently up could have the title of the Quest link to a page with details about that quest. Just a suggestion, but not sure how well it would work? More feedback needed this might have been rejected already. I just know I look for quests and hope to get more information about what I need to do and most of the time it is hard to find. Kinda like the info on Kingdom Quests. To show what I am talking about King_Slime's_CounterattackGandalfa82 21:58, 31 July 2008 (CDT)

The quest list is meant to be a reference, not a wholesale theft of in-game content... Furthermore, who actually gives a flop about the gibberish NPCs say, when they are giving a quest with over half a million EXP? Icy 18:54, 4 August 2008 (CDT)
The main thing I was thinking when saying this and probably should have only said this much was a page for the quest that when you click it you will see
1. The NPC that gives the quest
2. The items needed where to get these items
3. Where to turn it in at (some are not the same as the assigning NPC)
4. Details of rewards.
That was basically all I was thinking. The rest was just to better justify using a whole page instead of the current list which is good for the basic where to get, what you to get, what you get. The main big difference is that the Quest page could give you locations of each thing you need and also help to explain what to do for more challenging quests. I could understand why not to, but there have been a few quests that I just could not figure out what I was supposed to do. And on the gibberish NPC I do care (I care to know that it going to take me 30 mins of clicking Continue to be able to do the quest, lol).
Here is a page that someone else has done that I was talking about. Hectic_Julia It has the info I was talking about putting in. Biggest thing is the Tip at the bottom where you can do it more then once without going out to collect the stuff.Gandalfa82 21:18, 5 August 2008 (CDT)
There is the variable |Com= for comments where the odd difficulties may be addressed. It is currently used to say whether the quest is repeatable and/or any prerequisite quest. I think this is enough. As for the text content, it is too much of a fuss and it is prone to change (yep, however lazy I think the staff are on this, I think one day they will revamp the NPC gibberish to make more sense) Also, it is not of much help. If anyone cares about the NPC talk they can read it while they do the quest. Bear in mind that having one page for every quest is not something that is easily manageable. It would be better to devote time elsewhere. NPC pages, Materials pages, Monster pages and Map pages come to mind. Icy 03:05, 6 August 2008 (CDT)
Good point and I did not notice that comment section you were talking about when I first looked at the pages, now I do :). I may be making comments about repeatable and harvest items before quests for some of the quests.Gandalfa82 10:24, 6 August 2008 (CDT)

Monster XP rates (Materialised, more input needed)

Why is there two monster xp rate tables--one that is "complete" and one that is "incomplete" (the bottom one). Can we just delete the bottom one after all the values have been transferred to the new one or does the one on the bottom hold some sort of significance?

Also, in the new table, the last column of XP values doesn't have bars so it looks like one giant column.Ralath 14:21, 26 June 2008 (CDT)

So it happened that Firefox displays the table without showing any effect from the missing last column, and I was therefore unaware. It's a bit late now to append the extra column by hand (oooo so tedious) so unless someone feels very strongly about the outward appearance, it will be like that...
I'm removing the bottom section. If someone wishes to add info, they can add fresh ones. If someone really wishes to, they can dig up the history. Icy 15:37, 26 June 2008 (CDT)

Not sure where to put this so maybe this might be ok. I have been thinking about the diffrence between Forest of Tides Crab and Sand Beach Crabs and there is only one thing that comes to mind. While doing the quest for blue crab meat it tells you to kill blue crabs in Sand Beach. If you kill Blue crabs from Forest of Tides you do not receive the meat so I was thinking this is why there would be a diffrence. Sand Beach Crabs will give you Blue Crab Meat but Forest of Tides Crab will not and both are Blue Crabs. Not sure if this is correct but I have killed many Blue Crabs from FoT and never gotten the meat. With this said, I wonder if we really need both, if so then might want to make sure the correct crab says Blue Crab Meat and the rest do not.Gandalfa82 22:05, 13 August 2008 (CDT)

Apparently, Forest of Tides Crab has its own listing in data files, and therefore if it is present in the game it will go by the name 'Forest of Tides Crab'. Triumph is reported to have seen this entity in Isya but I have yet to witness it myself. However, at the time I inquired the files, this crab and the entities 'Crab' and 'Blue Crab' do not share identical display names. Icy 22:36, 13 August 2008 (CDT)

Another Name deal. Not sure but it seems Slanderer Phinoflie has been changed to Hooligan Phinoflie and also Huge Phinoflie has been changed to King Hong Phinoflie. Both can be found in Echo Caves. Gandalfa82 11:03, 15 September 2008 (CDT)

Single item pages (In progress)

These pages annoy me to no end:

http://www.fiestafan.com/wiki/Lustered_Soul_Dust

http://www.fiestafan.com/wiki/Lustered_Gem_Dust

http://www.fiestafan.com/wiki/Glowing_Spirit_Dust

and etc. (See recent changes for a whole chunk of them.)

It will be a pain to create a new page for every single one of these items, not to mention the fact that there is not a lot of information that can be stored on a page like this, especially when we already have big categorical pages like these:

http://www.fiestafan.com/wiki/Potions

or

http://www.fiestafan.com/wiki/Gem_Dusts

Yeah... those pages aren't exactly filled in yet.... But, I played around with this one and I prefer this format a lot better. It'll make for bigger pages but... IMO, it becomes more streamlined. If you guys don't like it, just revert the edit. :3

http://www.fiestafan.com/wiki/Spirit_Dusts

And all I did there was just copy the information from the page SPECIFICALLY for Old Spirit Dust (which, I should mention, I had to go through the Quest List again to find) and just paste it right there.

So yeah.

If you guys like that better, it'll give me something to work on since the Quest List is basically done now.

Finally, could we get a link to the Materials page (it's a non-existent page, as of right now)? It's kind of tricky finding it and the way I do it involves going to go the Quest List to find something that involves Dust and then clicking the Dust link to access it. =/

Ralath 14:47, 13 July 2008 (CDT)

If you need anything deleted, moved, protected, or otherwise modified by the almighty Wiki God (myself), send me a PM of the list or post the list. Triumph Talk
So is that a yes on the project? Ralath 20:44, 23 July 2008 (CDT)
If you look carefully, the pages you're dumping copied information into were created by me back in April. I set the traps for edit slaves to come forward to do more work, and then moved on to deal with the Monsters section. When you're done relocating information, you should tell me the pages you've been through, and I'll move/delete/redirect as required. Materials doesn't exist. When it does, a link will point to it from the Main Page. The template I made for Materials gives you a suggested list of generic names to use. You may or may not like them and you are free to nominate your own preferred name, but if you do so, check the links to make sure you haven't created broken links. Icy 23:24, 23 July 2008 (CDT)
Ooooou.... Icy is very sneaky. o-o I don't understand what templates you are talking about though so I will ignore the comment and pretend like I never heard it. Als, now that the Materials page exists, can we get a link from the Main Page? Ralath 04:44, 30 July 2008 (CDT)
Template:Materials. Main Page articles need to be complete ~.~ Icy 05:25, 30 July 2008 (CDT)

Page: Materials (Accomplished)

Materials Page Does Exist Now :), sorry I got bored!
Materials List It has all items that are required for Alchemy listed, including all tiers and broken down into groups based on how to get them Harvesting or from Drops. Also, has the harvesting done based off of what it comes from and the drop list done based on if it is a part of the Mob (leather/meat/bone/Badge) or Magic related (crystals/fruit/dust). To help with the single page you could redirect to this page. Just an idea.
Also, a side note, if you would like for me to add Apples, Sea Mushrooms, etc... But I really don't like the idea of Quest Items being listed on this page. Maybe for a Quest Items page?
I do have broken links on this page and I will be working on those in the near future. Please check this page and if a link should be something else then either let me know or feel free to change it to the correct link. I have not been able to find all links that are needed. I also added Gems to the Ore page since ores drop Gems out of them. Have not added all the information yet.Gandalfa82 02:14, 30 July 2008 (CDT)

I like it! I will help you tomorrow. I added one tonight just to test it out but I am tired at thhe moment so I am going to bed. I'm not really found of the Quest row so I wouldn't mind if we deleted that. But if everybody else likes it.... Ralath 04:43, 30 July 2008 (CDT)
Halt. Materials should take up a similar format to Production Skills as an introduction-cum-directory page. Listing of materials is in a table on Monster Drops and that is the format preferred on the Materials page. The reason I say this is that most of these materials already have their generic pages and I advise against starting a page that can potentially get very long. It is generally a bad idea to cram more than one article into one page, and I would consider each of the families of materials an article.
Furthermore, information relating to monster drops should not be repeated on this page. As an introduction, links to the various sources like Monster Drops should be provided instead.
I do not mean to pour cold water on your efforts. However, I also do not wish to see the Materials section of the Wiki becoming what the Monsters section used to be like before I consolidated and deleted stuff. That one went unregulated and the outcome were several long-ass pages with duplicate information, neither of which functioned well as a standalone page but none of them had any crosslinking to the others. Icy 05:06, 30 July 2008 (CDT)
You would like to see it as Copper Ore - Low Quality, Copper Ore, High Quality. (?)
I might not be understand what you want if not. I understand what you were saying about it being to much, but it was also what 2:00 am - 5:00 am when I was doing it, lol. But I can make it list style that just gives the quick list of all the Qualities where people can then pick to zoom in on one thing. Just what I am thinking that your talking about.Gandalfa82 12:01, 30 July 2008 (CDT)
Adding: I put this idea on the page above Copper Ore Table, if it is what your looking for just leave me a message and I can change the whole page to that. It will be very easy. If it is not then I missed your point and if you could take a few moments to do an example of your idea on copper ore then it would be greatly appreciated. I can follow it if I understand.Gandalfa82 12:08, 30 July 2008 (CDT)
Icy, Check this page Talk:Materials let me know your thoughts on that layout.Gandalfa82 00:33, 31 July 2008 (CDT)
Not sure if this should be something different but there is a Material for Stone Production called Badges (Iron Badge, Master Commander Badge) but there is nowhere on the Also See Material for it.Gandalfa82 00:33, 31 July 2008 (CDT)

I went ahead and redid the page. The old version is in the talk section. Icy I waited for you to hop on and give your take on it but have not seen Ralath or you today so I took a chance. If you don't like it you can change it back to the old version easily.Gandalfa82 00:33, 31 July 2008 (CDT)

Materials individual pages

I'm now working on making all the sub-pages of this page follow a standard template. Check out any item used for Scroll Production to see what I am talking about. I looked through all the pages and noticed that there was a very large variance as to what one page would have and another. I took what I considered the important parts of all and blended them together. Hope that is ok, like I said, all Scroll Productions pages are done now moving to Stone and Potion skills. Page is sectioned based off of Tier then you have the Icon, Description, What it is used for, Where it is found. If your look at that page chances are you have one of 2 questions, what do I do with this or where can I find this. So I am answering both of those. Hope it is ok.Gandalfa82 19:03, 9 August 2008 (CDT)

I've given my tweak on Leathers. All look reasonable to me. Icy 12:06, 10 August 2008 (CDT)

There's something that bothers me about these pages; it's probably length. We should tweak Leathers to perfection before standardizing the other pages. Icy 12:18, 10 August 2008 (CDT)

I understand the length deal, it is long. I do have one concern about your table, those items in say Potion Production that is used by not all but most of the potions from 2 different tiers. They would require alot of room in the table so I set up a table that can be used and it can replace the Alchemy tab all together. Can also do another table for monsters (maybe based off of type and you can click the type to see the list?)). Jelly drops from undead only so a link to undead and you can see the full list of all undead monsters and you will know that those are what you should be killing if your looking for Jelly. I had the list I had cause that was what was already there. I just completed it and yes, it is very long. Alchemy table will shorten it greatly. Monster Type only will shorten the page even more. So, you would have it where all you see is two tables and the basics. Take a look at the Alchemy Table I did and let me know. Not sure if monsters should be a table or just a list of types.Gandalfa82 23:53, 11 August 2008 (CDT)
The list for undead is at Template:Undead and so are the other types. You can easily take the lists from the template and put them onto a new page. In the small table, it is unnecessary to list all the alchemy items. A brief description will do. I like the pink tables you made on Leathers but I'm going to rearrange the monsters a little. Also, I am irritated that the icons for all grades of a particular material is the same in the archive and that the colour overlay is done in-game. This means either screen shots or installing PS for me to produce icons for that page. Both are annoying. Icy 06:38, 12 August 2008 (CDT)
I was listing them all simply so they can be the same on every page and you just change the tier. Some items are used for one tier or another in almost all of a production line (when I say this I mean, Tier 1 of production 8/9, Tier 2 of production 5/6/7, Tier 3 of 2/3/4, Tier 4 of production 1. Something like that. Meats is big on that for Potion production. By having a list of all of the production you can just list the Tiers needed. I was thinking at one point a Template would work where you could write (for scroll production) Mentality=Teir 1, Teir 2 type deal like what you have for mobs drop and it mark out the unused boxes. But that will require a little more work then I feel like doing. I toyed with it just to see how it would go and it failed very badly. I was hoping to be able to keep all information that would be desired handy and still keep it as easy to navigate. Basically I see two questions when you look at that page. What drops it, What is it used for. Either a crafter has a lot of it and wants to know how to use it in their trade or a crafter needs it and would like to know where to get it. Chances are that this crafter would have a certain Tier in mind and I was hoping the page would answer those questions at a glance. These are just my views on it. Also, if need be I can get the pictures you need for the images, just tell me which ones you need.Gandalfa82 23:30, 12 August 2008 (CDT)
You missed the point, the small table at the top is just an overview. In the case of meat... I'll do the meat one to show you. Icy 06:21, 13 August 2008 (CDT)
ok, I was thinking you were going yo replace the page with that, lol.Gandalfa82 19:59, 13 August 2008 (CDT)
No no, that would defeat the purpose of having the pages at all. So what do you think of separating the monsters in the Dropped by section by monster type? Icy 22:25, 13 August 2008 (CDT)
I like it but I did alter the set up a little. Let me know what you think of that.Gandalfa82 23:15, 13 August 2008 (CDT)

Take a look here Talk:Leathers and let me know what you think of that table. The page could be made up of 3 or 4 of those with your overview table and would be very short and easy to read. I know that table could be done better using a template of some kind and that is another reason why I came up with that idea. Leave comments on what you think.Gandalfa82 01:23, 16 August 2008 (CDT)

You tweeked it so I would say you approve of that idea. I will work on doing all tiers of the leathers now.Gandalfa82 01:23, 16 August 2008 (CDT)
I am pleased with it. I'll proceed to asking in the forum for suggestions. As long as it doesn't suffer any heavy weight criticisms, it will go ahead ~.~ Icy 07:13, 16 August 2008 (CDT)

Side Note: I will be working on these stand alone pages and once that is complete (maybe as I do it) I will be going through other individual pages (like Tough_Meat to redirect or just change all pages that link to it (depends on how many/which pages link to it). I just noticed that most of the ingredients have a standalone page for each tier and I do not think that is needed with all the info being on these pages.Gandalfa82 18:05, 1 September 2008 (CDT)

Redirect the individual pages to the respective generic pages please, and if possible, by using an anchored form ie. Meats#Tough_Meat. Note that you must express any special characters in the anchor name in the strange %xx form, and all spaces must be replaced by underscores (Meats#Tough Meat will not work Icy 19:19, 1 September 2008 (CDT)
Ya, I figured that out before the hard way, lol.

Now all Scroll Material pages are converted over just need to correct links to other pages and do the redirects. They need more information inputed in them and I will be working on those numbers in the next few days when I get a chance. I think I might take NPC Buy out for all Tier 1 + items since you can not buy them from NPC currently. I also uploaded images for Gems, Gold, Silver, and a PNG for Copper since that seems to be the current preferred image type. They are listed as Coin-Gem/Gold/Silver/Copper.png.Gandalfa82 03:00, 3 September 2008 (CDT)
I've turned the black backgrounds to an invisible one. If you require any information to fill in the tables with, I may have them available somewhere, so please do ask. As for images, Triumph has access to more productions I believe, and he will be bugged for the icons. It also seems that you were unable to delete a page, or do IP blocks. I'll do something about that. Icy 03:20, 3 September 2008 (CDT)
What I need most right now is a list of Monster Types. Which monsters are which types so I can put them in the correct place. Another thing that would be nice is a better list of what each monster drops in respects to which items and qualities. Other then that all I need is Icons since I'm not yet to 100000 comp and can not get the icons that way anymore. I do want you to check out the Sap page. I feel that it is finished the way it is and there will be no changes to it for a while.

I also took a moment to change the template at the top (dropped by to loot from) this goes better with the rest of the page and also will work on harvests.

Toadstools - Should the name be ToadStool? (well, I changed it if you want to revert back it will be easy. Just the templete, Materials, and Mushroom_(object) pages that will have to have the change made for everything to work. I changed it to match the In-Game name that you stated was what we would go by) That is the in-game way it is spelled. Also, Toadstools needs prices added to be considered finished. With the current state of things I can not log into Fiesta due to Vista 64-bit not working with new installer so I can not get those prices.

Mushrooms will be finished tonight except for prices also.

Another side note: I think Herbs needs to be two pages one for Sage line and another for Geranium line. Sage>Rosemary>Basil>Marigold , Geranium>Vilolet>Ramsear>Salvia. Not sure how to get this to work, just throwing the idea out before I make 8 tables on one page.
And should Ores have diffrent pages such as Ores_(Copper), Ores_(Silver), and Ores_(Gold) Gandalfa82 02:06, 5 September 2008 (CDT)
  • Earrings icon revisions complete as of today. I will finish Composition images myself, don't worry about it. As for formatting and naming issues, ask Icy (talk), since he is picky about how formatting should be. Triumph Talk
Thank you for finishing up the Images, the pages look great now. Ok, prices need to be add. Since only Tier 1 can be bought I will probably removed the buy from NPC section out of the others. Pending Icy's approval of this. The top can stay the same to show that there is no buy price. With this said these pages should be done shortly if all goes well. Gandalfa82 23:23, 6 September 2008 (CDT)
Sure, go ahead. I'm working on some research rather than aesthetics at the moment. And, wrong section, Triumph. Icy 00:33, 7 September 2008 (CDT)
I misinterpreted Gandalfa82's comment about Composition as a request for icon images. Triumph Talk

Character statuses page (Proposed)

A proposal to create a page that concerns itself with various afflicted statuses, made by Gandalfa82.

How about a page for the Curse, Illness, Poisions. Could be just one page but have on it what Cleric spells cure what, what potions cure what, what scrolls cure what.
Basic idea:
Curses
*Common
*Uncommon
etc. repeat for Illness and Poison. Get me the list and I'll figure it all out. I just have no clue and would really like to know, lol.Gandalfa82 04:03, 30 July 2008 (CDT)

In essence, you wish to write about character status. This would fall into the combat section. It will be a new, self-encompassing page. What would you like to be the title? Icy 05:23, 30 July 2008 (CDT)
Debuffs, or something like Harmful Effects? simple as that.
Debuffs - Debuffs are things that will be done to your character by enemies in order to hinder your abilities. There are 3 types of Debuffs in Fiesta:
*Curse
*Illness
*Poison
.Curse - Curse effect your Character by subtracting from your stats. Your Character will turn (Red/Blue) when effective by a Curse. Aim decrease, Speed decrease, etc. (maybe list all the curses, and I could be wrong about what curse does)
Illness - Illnesses effect your character in order to make it where you can not preform the functions correctly. Your character will turn (Red/Blue) when effected by an Illness. Illnesses are: (list the different types of Illnesses, maybe Bleed damage would be illness? I don't know)
Poison - Poisons will do damage to you over time, Your character will turn Green when effected by a Poison. There is only 1 type of Poison and it comes in various Tiers. (unless Bleed is a Poison? but you go Red with Bleed, I really don't know enough here to know.)
Can make 3 sub pages for each type since there is a chance for more stuff to get added later. The Sub pages can have the full list of what is a (Curse/Illness/Poison) and what will cure them. But like I said, I don't know enough here and I'm doing this after I woke up before I got my morning Smoke :(. I'll check back after I have done that and woken up.Gandalfa82 11:55, 30 July 2008 (CDT)

For here a better idea would be Buffs. State all types of Buffs/Debuffs in game, how to get them and how to get rid of them. That is the most simplistic explanation of this. Gandalfa82 12:24, 15 September 2008 (CDT)

XP Lost on Death (Dropped)

I have not found a chart for this but it could be interested. Will add information here for a quick reference if you think it would be nice then please feel free to post a comment and I would be willing to make the page. Need Title (Experience lost per Death?) Level 17 - 50 xpGandalfa82 16:21, 30 July 2008 (CDT) Level 11 - 9 xpGandalfa82 19:58, 30 July 2008 (CDT)

You lose 1% of EXP required to level up. Rounded up, I believe. Icy 11:01, 31 July 2008 (CDT)

Dungeon Boss Weapons (In progress)

Since these have fixed weapons stats, let's add them to the weapons section. Icy 15:28, 9 August 2008 (CDT)

Prototype at Weapons (Mage). Icy 22:32, 13 August 2008 (CDT)
Does boss weapons have a set +stats? If so do we want to add these? I would say if so then might want boss weapons in their own spot. Also, looks good :)Gandalfa82 23:10, 13 August 2008 (CDT)
They don't have fixed stat bonuses. Triumph raised the issue of the other green weapons that, like the boss weapons, have fixed weapon stats but not stat bonuses. However, I find that such a hassle that I've only told him to get his lazy ass to work. Icy 01:02, 5 September 2008 (CDT)

Map Pages for Each Zone (In progress)

I'm currently going through the diffrent zones and making a standardized way of listing the information. This should make it easier when visiting more then one zone while surfing the Wiki. I would like to see all Map pages look the same with basic stuff and that is what I am currently working on. While I am doing this I am also redoing the NPC Individual Pages for these Zones (See below). Gandalfa82 04:35, 21 September 2008 (CDT)

Good job. Your rendition of the Maps is great. Icy 05:06, 21 September 2008 (CDT)

NPC Individual Pages (In progress)

I am currently working on the individual pages for NPCs. I almost have all of Roumen's NPCs completed. What I will be doing is working the world pages based on how they link together and move to the NPC pages for each area as I come to that area. Please note I do not have any characters of high levels so I'm kinda limited on how far I can go. You can see the layout I am using on a number of Roumen's NPCs. Skill_Master_Ruby page has the layout I will be using on all pages. Element_Helper_Remi shows also how it will be done. The world pages will be done like Roumen. It will have an introduction that explains about the place, tells something about the NPCs there and the level range of the monsters. I will have tables for NPCs and connecting Zones. All Locations will be based on which grid has the majority of the icon in it. If it is an even split then I will go with the one on the bottom left of the icon (where it touches the ground, lol). These are just what I am working on while I'm at a stand still on the Materials individual pages. Gandalfa82 12:24, 15 September 2008 (CDT)

  • Roumen NPC - Completed
  • Echo Cave NPC - Completed
  • Forest of Tides NPC - Completed
  • Sand Beach NPC - Completed
  • Sea of Greed NPC - Completed
  • Forest of Mist NPC - Completed
  • Burning Hill - Completed
  • Luminous Stone - Completed

Gandalfa82 04:35, 21 September 2008 (CDT)

  • Sand Hill NPC almost complete, just need to complete the Skill Master who has way to much to sell. Another day maybe two to finish making the Icons for his list and it will be complete. No I have not given up on doing these I just ran into one of the hardest NPCs Skill master who sell everything from level 20 through level 60, ugh... But good news is Elderine Skill Masters will be very fast after this, lol. Gandalfa82 08:29, 3 October 2008 (CDT)
  • Sand Hill NPC Compeleted
  • Elderine NPC - Completed Gandalfa82 16:25, 7 October 2008 (CDT)
  • Uruga NPC - Completed Gandalfa82 20:08, 12 November 2008 (CST)
