Chriszed's Archer Guide

79.78.188.114:

Hello I'm Chriszed. Yes I know Introductions are pointless. BUT DON'T SCROLL DOWN THE PAGE. Why? Because this is one of the first Archer guides. And I want to Make my point clear. Ok. I know I'm a noob. I was only level 25 in CB and am now level 20. But that doesn't matter. Sure there are higher level archers than me. But does that matter. NO! They don't care. They probably don't even post in the Archer forum. Listen, if you go to the Cleric, Fighter, or Mage Section, you'll see tons of guides, tons of posts, tons of people helping other people. What do you see in the Archer forum? People complaining about how Archers SUCK! Well, I WANT TO START AN ARCHER REVOLUTION!

It won't take a genius to know that Archers are underpowered. But when used correctly an
Archer will be able to pwn anyone and anything. Sure they lack the Damage of a Mage, The Defence of a Fighter, and the sheer invincibility of a Cleric. But they have one thing the other classes don't have. Evasion. People will say CHRIS YOU'RE CRAZY. But evasion is good. Perhaps it's better than good. In the First part of this guide I will show how effective an Archer can be in a party. So without further ado here's Chapter 1.

CHAPTER 1
People point out that Archers are leeches. They only stay in a party to steal exp. NOT TRUE. When an archer is used properly they kick ***! I hope you other classes are reading because here's why an Archer is invaluable to a party.

MOVE #1- RAIN AND PAIN

Archers get the skill multi shot at level 20. So what. Look at it like this. At level 20 they also get nature's protection.(decreases agro) These two moves are brothers. HECK! EVEN MORE! In a party. Lets say you were killing orange monsters. You had a Cleric, Warrior, Mage, and Archer. Let's say around 5 charged at you. The rest of the party are focusing on one person. The fighter is going to spam taunt, the cleric is going to heal, and the Mage is going to attack whatever the tank is attacking. Whats the archer doing? Probably the same as the Mage. This is what the battle would look like: The warrior in the middle of the monsters, Archer behind him, Mage, then Cleric.

Okay. That looks pretty basic. The cleric in the back Tank in the middle of the guys, Archer not too far from tank and Mage in between Cleric and Archer. Let say the Mage uses an AoE move. The skeleton will charge at the Mage. Kill him. Got to Cleric and kill him. Then the party is gone. But lets say the Archer AoE's. He can multi shot then right after use natures protection. That means the monsters get hurt but still attack the Warrior. If the fight lasts long enough do it again.(you can also do this with nature's mist)

MOVE #2- POISON POP.

Well this is another variation of the Rain and Pain. Same setup but lets say they were fighting only 4 monsters. This time instead of arrow rain the Archer uses his poisons on one monster. And on the way adds some Aimed and Power shots. When the monster comes he runs towards the tank and uses nature's protection. Now when your skills recharge continuously attack the monster with power shot, followed by nature's protection. That monster will be dead very soon.

MOVE #3- QUICK SAVE.

Now lets say the party is in trouble. And needs time to recover from a monster attacking the Cleric. But there is still 3 monsters remaining. Pull the monster that no one is attacking. Run into a save area with lots of tree or other obstructions around them. Run through them. Occasionally shoot the monster to regain agro. When your party is ready use Nature's Protection then run towards the tank. DON'T CUT THROUGH THE PARTY. The monster will attack the closest person other than you. What if you got the Mage or the Cleric. That whole thing was pointless.

Move #4- AGRO ATTACK.

Say you really need to kill a monster FAST. Simply use these moves in THIS ORDER.
1. Power shot
2. Aimed shot
3. Bone shot
4. Fury impact
4.5. Multi shot.(only if you wont hit any monsters.)
5. Other damage skills.
6. Natures protection.

That should take out a very large chunk of the monster HP while still sending it back to the tank.

Move #5- MAGE MAYHEM.

This requires a suicidal Mage. And I mean only one out 100 Mages will agree to do this. Pull a monster with your poisons. Then tell your Mage to hit him with their best spells. When he's done pull the monster with AIMED SHOT FIRST. Then your other moves. If you got 2 clerics one should heal you. If not use pots and stones. When all your moves cooldown do the same
thing. Continue it but i doubt it will last long.

Those are 5 moves right now an Archer can pull off in a party. Showing how effective an Archer can be in a party. Almost all of them Require you to use nature's protection. SO GET THIS SKILL. There are two ways. One from the quest. The other from fame. Do whatever you want though i suggest the quest so you can save your fame and get some good exp.

CHAPTER 2
Now the reason I put the party section first is so that other classes will read it and then know how effective an Archer is in a party. Now Time for the solo part.

All the Gm's say that later on Archers will rock. I believe them 100%. But they can still rock. Even at lvl 20! Here are some tricks to help you lvl up while soloing!

MOVE #1- COVER CANNON

No. You don't need to play a shooting game to use cover. In fact cover in this game is really effective. Lets say you are killing Joker Kebings in Sea of Greed. There is that forest right beside where they spawn right. Now what you want to do is click on the monster. Make sure you have to shoot through about 2 trees. The trick here is actually a glitch. YOU can shoot through the tree's but the KEBBING has to go around. See. You can get an extra 2-3 shots before it gets to you. Enough to kill it.

MOVE #2- KITING KILLER

Kiting is in almost every game. And it's very straight forward. I only recommend this on maps where there is an open field. Now remember Archer kiting is different than Mage kiting! In Mage kiting you would run attack run attack run attack... But for an Archer First start like this. Use Your Highest damaging move, with the longest range. Then poisons. Then highest damaging move. Now run. Run until your move cooled down. Now turn and kill the monster. This is good if your trying to save pots.

Now those are the two basic moves you need to know when soloing. Now I'm sure in later lvls you get better skills and wont need to use these but they are still very good to know and master.

CHAPTER 3
Finally you were looking for a guide to make the perfect archer build. Well I already posted a guide on that so let me just copy and paste.

An Archer basically need 3 or 4 stats. They don't need INT because they
don't use magic. END and DEX will decide your DEF and STR and SPR will
decide your damage. So i decided to compare them.

DEX VS. END

Some people say to put some points in END. I personally don't recommend
END. I say put them in DEX. Why? Because you also get up your aim and
use less money on pots. Because with DEX you dodge more so you don't
lose any HP. Put it this way. Would you rather get hit more often but lose less HP OR
get hit less often but loss a lot of HP. But a bonus with DEX is you get
aim and will hit the enemy more. Also I would like to add every lvl you
get around 3 points on DEX automatically. Plus rings are good if you
really want some END. So in conclusion DEX over END but you could have
some points in END if you feel you need them.

DEX IS THE WINNER.

STR VS. SPR

This one is all in opinion. STR raises your general damage while SPR
raises your crit %, m. defense, and your max SP. Weigh out the options
and SPR looks like it will benefit you more. Well... It does look like
that, but I say have a little bit of both. Why? Because if you get up
your STR and SPR you have higher damage and good crit % and good SP and
good M. defense.

IT'S A TIE!

Stat Descriptions

STR- Increases damage.

DEX- Increases aim and evasion. (MAIN)

END- Increases HP and def.

SPR- Increases M. defense, crit %, and max SP.(MAIN)

What Archer are you?

What Archer do you wanna be. Do you wanna kite? Do you wanna be able to
solo? Party? Or KQ? Do you wanna be a damage dealer or have good DEF.
Do you wanna pvp or pve more. Answer these question and it will help
you decide what builds to be.

Builds

Here are a list of builds I have found or made. (You can add to them if you want.)

My Build.

1:3 DEX:SPR This is my build for my archer. It suits my playing
style well. The reason I have good dmg and evasion. I also have good
aim. I have enough SP so i can use my skills a lot and I do crit often.

Main Build.

1:1 DEX:SPR This build does focus on your two main stats and it's very good. But really put all your points into SPR until you have 25 then the rest into dex.

Basic Build.

1:1 STR:DEX. This is the generic build for any archer. It focuses on an archers damage and evasion. Although later on in the 30's I suggest some SPR.

Party Build.

2:2:1 STR:SPR:DEX. Why is this party. Because it allows for good
damage and good aim. Making you a good damage dealer. If you do end up
soloing with this prepare for a lot of pots and stones.

Solo build.

2:2:1 DEX:STR:END. This is a good solo build because it has good DEF
and good damage. And you won't need a lot of pots and stones.

Damage build.

3:3:1 STR:SPR:DEX. This is also a good pvp build because you maximize damage. Enough said.

Defense build.

1:1 DEX:END. Don't really recommond this. It has it's uses in pvp and does help in pve. It maximizes DEF.

All those builds are useful in pvp and pve. I just highlighted it's main purpose. You should also mix and match them to suit your playing style.

Professions

Scroll Production: I recommend for the buffs you get. Also good for money.

Potion Production: A great profession for the archer as you get lots of potions that heal good and can sell for a lot.

Stone Production: Probably the best profession for money.

I don't recommend any other professions. But it's your call.

That was taken directly from How to decide YOUR archer's build.

Those are some of the basic Archer Builds. But really the only way you can mess up your Archer is full INT ;P.

CHAPTER 4
What should i go Crossbow or Bow? This is a dying question asked by so many archers. Well it really is all in preference. The Crossbow is better if you like to spam skills, while bow is better if you like to save SP. The reason is a bow does more damage with a regular attack while crossbow does more damage with skills. So if you like to spam skills go Crossbow if you like to do more damage without skills go Bow. It really is in your play style.

CHAPTER 5
We're almost at the end of the guide. And here's where i list the Pro's and Con's of an Archer. Why do i put this at the end. Because people just look at the Pro's and Con's of a class and decide. But now they know how they play and can make their decision.

PRO'S
- VERY HIGH Evasion. Why is Evasion so good? Ah, I'm going to now answer your question you've been asking this entire time. Well lets see. If a Warrior were to get hit and it does 150dmg. Lets say he gets hit 5 times while fighting a guy. Thats 750 DMG! Now lets say an Archer get hit 5 time with 200dmg. THATS 1000! But lets say the archer dodges 3 of the hits. Thats only 400dmg. Now do you see my point.
- Medium HP and SP
- Damage over time skills.
- Good AoE skills
- Good Damage(crits)
- High aim
- Ranged
- Looks cool

CONS
- Low defence
- Hard to Master
- Uses a lot of potions
- Average weapons
- Underpowered

Well that's my guide. I hope you learned something and now decide to add Archers to your parties or learned how to improve your skills. I'm keeping a contribution section. Post your ideas here and I'll add them.

CONTRIBUTIONS
LEVEL 1-20 by: Chriszed

Waiting to get to level 20 so you can own just like this guide shows. Well, I'm here to show you how to level up and where to train. I hope you have read the solo section, because I will refer back to it.

Now you just made a character. Where do you train? What do you do? Well, first things first: talk to Elemental Helper Remi. She will give you the quest and all that stuff. Next do quests around town they give you your armor. After that you should do Kingdom Quests; they will level you up the fastest. I recommend training in:

1-3 Roumen
3-6 Forest of tides
7-12 Sand beach
13-16 Forest of mist
17-20 Sea of greed

Those maps are most suited for Archers. Now when you start up you should get all the moves available to you. I recommend you empower Aimed and Power Shot, because these are your two main damaging moves. If you want to kill monsters quickly, use moves in this order:

1. Aimed shot
2. Bone shot
3. Fury impact
4. Power shot

That should take out a monster pretty quickly. You can also kite if you feel the need to.

When training in Sea of Greed I recommend using cover. There should be lots of trees by the North near Elderine. In party's I recommend you spam skills. Before you decide to hit level 20 you need about 12 silver. 2 silver to get pots and scrolls for the lvl up quest, and 10 silver for your multi shot, and armor. Only buy the armor from players. There is usually a shop around the blacksmith that sells it. Don't buy your weapon, it's the reward from the quest. Good luck!

The Basics
You have just made your archer character, and you should be in a city called Roumen and have only a few pieces of copper and the basic Shortbow in your inventory. It might be a good idea to equip your bow first before doing anything. To do that, press "I" key or just select the inventory from the bottom bar (the icon should look like a backpack) and just click on your bow and then click on either hand in your character equipment slots (it will go in the left hand anyway).

Now you are ready for combat! Now as level 1 player, you should probably start off with slimes. Slimes can be found in Roumen using this map:

Now, at first, slimes may seem very hard to kill, but don't despair! To level you only need 10 Exp, and each slime gives 1 Exp, thus you have to kill 10 slimes (You can see how much exp you need If you press the Character icon or "C" for shortcut). After you kill 1 or 2 slimes you may notice, that your health is low. You can either rest in a home ("Home" key for shortcut), or use HP stone ("Q" for shortcut). Now I suggest is that you use the home to rest, because HP stones are limited and you have to buy them in order to use them again. Plus there is a cooldown of 3 seconds, and that is also another one of it's disadvantages.

Anyway, whichever method you choose, you should have your HP full, and you can engage in combat again. After killing off 10 slimes, congratulations, you are now level 2!

You may notice that, when you level, a Coocoo bird appears on your screen. Click on it, and you should see something similar to this "Robin is looking for you in (Roumen)!" This is a list of quests that have become available to you. You may go and start those quests and do the tasks assigned. If you complete a quest, you will be rewarded with Exp, Fame, money and sometimes with an item of your choice.

Well, you have just learned the basics, and so the game should look a little easier to you. Now you are on you own. Good luck!

Kiting
Kiting is basically a hit-and-run technique, however you need to have a Speed increase scroll in effect in order to use it. Just attack the monster, and keep hitting him. If he gets too close, then run away at a safe distance, and hit the monster again. Repeat this technique until the monster is down. Or you can do it without the scroll, hit the monster until he is almost in front of you. Then run until your spells have recharged and fire it at him.

Archer Building: Basic and Advanced Tips
As an archer, you WILL find that your defence is of...a lacking nature. It is difficult to train without a party, but yet it only becomes more difficult to get a party when you reach higher levels.

To avoid disappointment with your archer, first off, when training it is important to ask yourself what type of training you see yourself doing, and then which stats to assign. There are many variations to builds, so there'll be no need to lecture you on where to put your stats, but essentially, you should follow two strict builds as a base:

25 SPR: Rest STR

It is important to get the initial 25 SPR (which takes from level 1-20 to get). Why? Because it gives you a good 5% crit rate on top of your weapon, as well as extra Mag Def and SP. Now, after level 20, you can do whatever you want, but it is recommended you go with STR, for better attacking power. It adds up later on.

Pure SPR Build

This build is controversial: You get an amazing amount of SP, crit, and good Mag Def, but on the other hand you lack some of the power of your STR build brethern. If you can afford equips to make up what you will lack (which really isn't that costly), then you should consider taking this build.

In the two above builds, you can obviously variate your stats. If you want more def, add END, if you want more Aim and Evade, add Dex, but know that Evade is useless in KQ's, and you can always make evade scrolls, which are equally useless. An extra 100 evade doesn't mean that monster is going to miss you even twice as much, but an extra 29 def from a t1 scroll drops damage by about 30 points. You're an archer, not a ninja, and the aim and evade you get from leveling alone is plenty.

Another thing that should be mentioned is that SPR FROM WEAPONS AND ARMOR DOES NOT ADD TO CRIT RATE. So don't think you can replace it just like that. This is the main reason for getting at least 25 SPR on an archer, for the crit rate you crave. STR, END, and DEX all add the same things when they come from weapons and armor, but SPR only adds that lovely Magic Defence, and SP. So keep that in mind when building your archer. It's not as costly as it might seem, as long as you're careful with your money.

So when you go out into the World of Fiesta, keep it in mind that SPR is essentially important to you. Keep in mind that yes, you do lack defence properties, but you also have the gift of range, Damage Per Second, and the lowest level AoE attack out there (even if it's useless). An Archer is a complicated class to understand. Hopefully, this miniature build guide has helped and you can always ask a fellow archer for help. I'm sure they'd be glad to do so.

How to Lure
Ok In this guide i will tell you how to Lure with an archer so that your party can get to the enemy without attracting a Massive train.
First you will need The following:
A Bow/Crossbow,
Natures Protection,
A Good party,
Hp/SP stones,
A Buff (optional but recommended if in a high lvl area)

Ok first Find a good Spot for your team to rest, preferrabley somewhere where enemies don't spawn but are near to where they do so The Puller can pull with ease

Ok once you've done that its time to select your victim.
Then Make sure your party is ready, then shoot The victim with a normal shot to provide less aggro
However if your party is high lvled then you can do a poison shot or bleed, etc. so as to provide extra damage

As soon as you have shot run back to your party with the monster following

Then walk by The main Tanker, should use Snearing Kick (or any variation of Taunt) to Attract the Aggro to them.
Then IMMEDIATELY use Natures protection to destroy any aggro The monster has against you.

Now that the enemy is fighting your party its time to step in and deal as much damage possible with poison etc. hopefully your party will keep agrro, if not then use natures protection again if it comes after you.
Ok now all you need to do is keep on fighting until he is dead

CONGRATZ you have successfully lured

Just a few tips:

If your fighter doesn't use taunt then DON'T run away as you will probably just get more enemies on you,
(However if you are right next to a gate to another field then you can go through it to avoid the enemy)
If the above case happens just stand still and use natures protecion and hp/sp stones until your party manages to attract aggro
If you dont understand what Aggro is Look below.

Aggro, I have it
Every monster has aggro. Basically, aggro (meaning aggravation) determines which Player a monster will attack. The more you attack a monster, the more aggro it will have against you, until it reaches a maximum. Assume that the maximum aggro a monster can have is 99, in which case it will come after you and attack you until you die, or until you run long enough for it to get bored (which is a very long time). This means that you probably have to fight the monster, or lower it's aggro somehow, which is where your level 20 questable skill comes in.

Using natures protection puts the enemies aggro toward you at 1 making you the lowest threat possible.

When a fighter uses Taunt they gain a lot of aggro. See a connection here? By using nature's protection, you can successfully party without becoming the main target, since as an archer you will tend to do more damage than fighters, therefore pulling aggro off of them.

Also, make sure when using nature's protection that THE MONSTER MUST BE INSIDE THE FANCY DOME THAT APPEARS FOR IT TO WORK PROPERLY. Otherwise you're just putting on a lightshow.

Intro:

Fighters are the master of melee weapons. They serve as the best tanks in the game, but are not limited to just tanking (others may choose to become DPS).
This guide holds some of my personal opinions of the fighter class and yours may differ. If you do not like/agree with my guide, do not bother to flame me...simply write your own guide.
Corrections and Suggestions are always welcome! Especially since this guide was written around 4-6AM x_x.
--Cinderally 05:55, 10 October 2007 (CDT)

Stats:

Let's review what each stat does.

STR: Increase Damage. Bonuse Damage at every 5 stats.(+1 bonus damage, eg: str : 60+5=+6 more damage)
DEX: Increase Aim and Evasion
END: Increase Defence, HP, and Shield Defence
INT: Increase Magic Damage, Bonus damage at every 5 stats
SPR: Increase Magic Defense, Critical Rate, and SP

From this info, we can conclude that INT will be completely useless for us because we are melee and not a caster. Also, the usefulness of DEX is currently unknown to me...that is a build I will have to try out and will write about later.

It feels good when you are able to avoid strong attacks from monsters and be able to hit back almost without fail. DEX help sometimes to avoid these attack, kill monsters accurately, and on the long run save few HP stones and potions.

Fighter Builds:

The fighter class can be pretty much broken up into 3 categories:
Tank
DPS/DD (Otherwise known as Damage Dealers)
Hybrid
People usually choose their build based on two factors:
1) Because you enjoy being a Tank, DPS, or Hybrid
2) And others will decide based on looks whether they want to wield a 1 hand sword + shield, 2 hand sword, or an axe.

Tank

This build is just pure END. You will more than likely end up as the MT (Main Tank) with this build assuming you are the appropriate level. However, do not expect to do much damage. That would be the only downside to this build if you are soloing. Expect to use lots of consumables (HP/SP stones and pots) if you do not have a Cleric to party with. As with all other mmorpgs that I have played, the MT focuses on damage mitigation and keeping the aggro/hate of mobs. Basically, your role in parties and KQs would be to keep everyone safe - NOT dpsing.

DPS

An alternate fighter build for those who choose to become melee DPS will go for pure STR. Your damage may not be as high as a mage, but you'll be more useful in other ways. Although your def and hp are lower than pure END tanks, you can still OT (Off Tank) or even MT in some cases. Some people will argue that DPS fighters are useless. I say don't listen to them and play however YOU want to play. Personally I think that DPS fighters can be of good use if played correctly. When DPS is lacking from a group, DPS fighters can pick up some of the slack that Pure END fighters can't. When there is an extra mob that the MT can't pick up, the DPS fighter can pick it up and OT it.
Your role in parties and KQs:
- Pick up loose mobs.
- Keep up stuns and debuffs on MT's mobs.
- DPS DPS DPS!!

Hybrid

This is most often the chosen build for people that like to solo more than grouping. There are also many types of hybrids - DIY ratio types.

Some common ones:
1:1 STR:END
1:2 STR:END
2:1 STR:END
Basically, you can do whatever ratios you like, but I don't suggest doing something completely different if you don't know what exactly you are doing. I'm sure you wouldn't want to reach level 30+ and realize your stats suck because you spread them out too far and you'll have to re roll.

Also note that if you are going for more crit with spirit, 25 added points is the ideal. After 25 points, you will get diminishing returns for crit %. To better explain: Normally you would get .2% crit until you reach 25 SPR...after you reach that amount, you will then get .1%.
I say if you know what you are doing, then DIY!

Level
7

Description
Upgrade One Handed Sword Mastery and Increase Damage.

Level
16

Description
Upgrade One Handed Sword Mastery and Increase Damage.

Alchemy: [ Hmm what to choose right? ]

Whatever 2 alchemy skills you choose will be PERMANENT. It can NOT be undone/changed/etc.(New SparkCash item, it allows you to re-do your alchemy skill). Personally I would recommend the following:

Potion Production

For me, this was VERY easy to level and will save you money from having to buy HP/SP potions. Also since I like to torture myself by grinding for long hours, it was very convenient to just be able to make pots while out of town instead of having to go back and forth.

Scroll Production

Okay this is a bit harder to level than Potion Production because getting "Summoned Beast Leathers" is just a pain in the arse. If you are too lazy to farm, you can resort to opening up a "Buy Shop". I've seen the price range for buying SBLs somewhere from 8 copper - 25 copper, or you can go to Forest of Tides set up a shop and buy for 3c from the noobs.

Having these production skills on your fighter will be more useful than any other production skills. As I've stated in Potion Production, it is very convenient to be able to make these things on the go instead of going back and forth to town. You can always make other characters with the other production skills (stone, decomposition, composition) since all characters share the same bank anyway. It's no biggy whatever you want to do, but these are just my "suggested".

Weapons:

Although each build has a weapon better suited for it - it would be a good idea to eventually carry around all three or at least two of the three. For myself, I like the 1 Hand Sword and the 2 Hand Sword. 1 Hand + Shield for when I have to tank and the 2 Hand for when I'm soloing or there is another MT.

One Hand Sword

If you are a tank, this will obviously be your main weapon alongside having a shield (yay more def!). Your attack speed will be faster, but your damage output will be weaker than if you used a 2 Hand Sword or an Axe.

Two Hand Sword

With this weapon, your attack speed will be faster than an axe, but slower than a 1 Hand Sword. This weapon is recommended for pure STR fighters.

Axe

This is the slowest of the 3 weapons, but also has the highest base damage. More preferred by people who have a crit build (skill crit + weapon with higher base dmg = why). The axe is also the better choice for PvP. I can't recall any game I've played where crit wasn't good for PvP.

How To:

Tank

It feels weird writing a "How To Tank" guide, but wow I'm amazed by all the fighters out there who just suddenly proclaim themselves as the MT, but can NOT hold the mob(s) just from one hit from an archer/mage. If you do not know how to tank, then please do not do something stupid like that - it will piss people off (the clerics and dps are a scary bunch to piss off o.O). Anyway, assuming that you are saving your skill empowerment points for the better AoE skills you get later, my skill cycles goes something like this for a boss at lower levels:
Snearing Kick (= taunt)
Concussive Charge
Bone Slicer
Fatal Slash
Slice and Dice x2
Rinse and Repeat starting from Concussive Charge. Throw in Snearing Kicks every once in awhile especially right after you get stunned. Very SP consuming BUT I gaurantee 100% that you will never lose aggro (assuming you are doing it correctly). Not only that, but stunning + reducing its attack rate + decreasing its def will help alot. You can choose to leave out slice and dice if you want to try conserving more SP, but since I'm loaded with pots I like to throw in that added DPS while my main tanking skills are on cooldown.

Clearing the way to a boss is a bit different. It is not considered wise to go head on when there is a group of 5 mobs or more. You can pick them off one by one pulling with your Snearing Kick. Then I like to use Bone Slicer so I will be a bit less of a burden for healers. I save my concussive charge for when my kick is down and somebody pulls something thinking they can handle it and end up running around like a dummy screaming for heals. After that mob is stunned, throw a kick to ensure that you have aggro. I like to go as fast as I can thru KQs so I will usually pull the next mob when the current mob is at half health. Be SURE to watch over your group.

DPS

Just kidding!...but seriously...I hope no one is wondering how to DPS...it would make me cry.
Side note : Damage dealers can still tank. Just be brave enough, step out front and confront the monster. Be sure to use HP potions / HP stones and you'll do well

Level 20 Job Change

Fighter to Clever Fighter. I don't think I need to get into this since there is already a well written guide here:
Level 20 Job Change

Do's and Don'ts

I have seen my fair share of annoyingly dumb people (sorry for lack of better words).
If this section of my guide helps to create one less of these type of people in Fiesta, then I will be very happy!

First off, come prepared. This means bring your scrolls, HP/SP Stones, and Potions.
I've been threw so many Kingdom Quests where there are only two healers and because there are fifteen other people to heal including themself, people will resort to calling them "stupid n00b clerics" when in fact they are trying to keep up with the healing. You can be the better person by thanking them for their heals (if they get around to healing you)...trust me, you'll get focused on more for heals than those people that bash them. I absolutely can't stand people who demand heals because they didn't come prepared. Sometimes you will get even more unlucky and get 6 clerics in your group....that tank and don't heal anyone but themself. I have done at least 3 Kingdom Quests [King Slime's Counterattack] as the Main Tank where I have barely gotten by just healing myself with HP Stones and Pots while the clerics try to tank and die. Even though its aggravating, don't blow up on them. You have to remember that some of these people are new to the game and haven't figured out what exactly they have to do. Also, some of these players are innocent kids that could be younger than yourself. And if you are the youngest player and you show the maturity level I've been talking about, people will enjoy playing/partying with you more often.

Letting people die...is it okay? That depends. At a low level, you only have two sure ways to save people. Snearing Kick and Concussive Charge. Each has its cooldown. If someone pulls another mob and both are on cooldown, let them run around a bit and then kick/charge if your cooldown is finished. If they continue to do this, then don't bother with them...its better when people learn the hard way. You can't expect to be able to do everything.

The clerics keep tanking and aren't healing me at all! What should I do? It's okay to ask for a heal every once in awhile, BUT do not spam "OMGZ HEAL ME NUB" or something similar of the sort. If they don't want to heal you, then you don't have to tank - simple as that. Just sit in your house if you don't want to pot. Be mentally prepared that the chance of this kind of group being successful is slim to none. It sucks, but you can't really do anything about it. You can't make other people play exactly how you want them to. I've been in one Kingdom Quest where a cleric said he would be Main Tank because he had the most health...the others agreed. Sooo I let him tank the boss and then picked it up after he had used all 3 of his lives and went back to town. Even though half of the group died because the cleric couldn't hold aggro, the KQ still became a success after my super taunt.

HAVE FUN! This is just a game after all.
