Titles are obtained by doing various things in-game. There are hundreds of titles and not all of them have been discovered yet. You can change your title by opening the character window and clicking change by the title.

Friend Titles
Friend Seeker - Have 5 friends.
Friendly - Have 10 friends.
Popular - Have 30 friends.
Celebrity - Have 50 friends.
Chatting Titles
Announcer - Shout 10 times.
Broadcaster - Shout 100 times in an hour. (please check)
Money/Selling Titles
Apprentice Merchant - sell 1g worth of stuff to NPCs?
Advanced Merchant
Pro Merchant
Master Merchant
Enhancement Titles
Apprentice Enhancer - Successfully enhance one item.
Successful Enhancer - Successfully enhance three items without failure.
Skillful Enhancer - Successfully enhance five items without failure.
Triumphant Enhancer - Successfully enhance seven items without failure.
Miraculous Enhancer - Successfully enhance nine items without failure.
Enhancement Artist - Successfully enhance one item to +7.
Enhancement God - Successfully enhance one item to +9.
Lucky Enhancer -
Unlucky Enhancer - Fail to enhance three items in a row or more.
Item Spoiler - Destroy one item during enhancing.
Class Titles
For Fighters:
Apprentice Fighter - Attain level 10 with a character of the Fighter class.
Clever Fighter - Attain level 20 with a character of the Fighter class.
For Clerics:
Apprentice Cleric - Attain level 10 with a character of the Cleric class.
High Cleric - Attain level 20 with a character of the Cleric class.
For Archers:
Apprentice Archer - Attain level 10 with a character of the Archer class.
Hawk Archer - Attain level 20 with a character of the Archer class.
For Mages:
Apprentice Mage - Attain level 10 with a character of the Mage class.
Wiz Mage - Attain level 20 with a character of the Mage class.
Weapon Titles From Monster Slaying
(monster name) Killer - Obtained automatically when a weapon with (monster name) license is equipped.
(monster name) Executioner - Kill 50 of the specified monster.
(monster name) Eliminator - Kill 100 of the specified monster.
(monster name) Assassin - Kill 200 of the specified monster.
(monster name) Dominator -
(monster name) Destroyer -
(monster name) Slayer -
(monster name) Terminator -
Uncategorized Titles
Stammerer - Stay in shop for 3 hours or be logged on in game for 3 hours.
Quiet - Stay silent for 8 hours.

Title Rookie - Obtain 8 titles.(except Weapon Titles)
Title Maker - Obtain 30 titles.(except "Title Rookie" and Weapon Titles)
Fiesta Rookie - Stay logged in 5 hours.
Fiesta Citizen - Stay logged in 8 hours.
Quest Beginner - I think it has something to do with fame
