Forum Rules


Forum rules



The following guidelines are fundamental rules of conduct which users of the FIESTA ONLINE forum are to abide by. They apply especially to articles, signatures, and avatars. The gamigo team always tries to update the community with current information and moderate the forums both fairly and impartially. We reserve the right to change these forum rules.These rules do not replace the Terms of Use, rather they add to them.



1. Respectful Conversation

The rights of other members of this community are to be respected. Therefore, other characters, players, groups, and all gamigo employees are not to be:

- abused

- insulted

- harassed

- threatened

- pilloried



2. Ban on Discrimination

Other characters, players, groups, and all gamigo employees are not to be attacked or confounded on the grounds of:

- their race or ethnic origin

- their religion or beliefs

- their age

- their gender

- their sexual identity

- a disability



3. No Extreme Statements / Violence / Threats

The publication or transmitting of content (in text or picture form) as well as the use of usernames and/or links to websites with pictures or content that are:

- illegal

- sexually offensive

- malicious

- threatening

- abusive

- defamatory

- obscene

- hateful

- racist

- damaging to one's reputation

- business-damaging

- drug-glamorizing

or that depict violence in any form is strictly forbidden.



4. Cheating / Harmful Programs

It is forbidden to publish information that supports or encourages cheating (exploitation) of the game rules. This includes the modification of program files as well as hacks, Trojans or other harmful programs.



5. Spamming / Trolling

The repetitive/disruptive publishing of forum posts (spamming) is forbidden. Spam also includes:

a. The transgression of threads into non-topic related discussions/postings that deviate from the topic

b. Posting the same content in various areas/double posting answers/content ("crossposting”)

c. The creation of posts with the sole purpose of creating unrest in the forum

d. The creation of posts with the goal of linking to other posts to bring more attention to them

e. Continuous writing in capitals (shouting)

f. "Begging posts" (e.g. "can somebody level me?")

g. Excessive use of punctuation and/or smileys in a row

h. Postings that only serve to push the thread up the thread list and be shown at the top ("bumping" of threads) (This does not apply to Trade Threads and Guild Threads)

i. One-word posting, which includes smileys (This does not apply to Off-Topic Threads)



6. Composing Topics and Posts

Newly created topics should be labeled with a heading relevant to the core topic and should be created in the matching sub-forum. The search function should be used in the forum, if available, in order to avoid renewed posting of existing topics. Topics made in this forum, and all posts in existing topics, should be in the English language.



7. Bypassing a Ban by Proxy Posting

The banning of forum and game accounts is specific to the individual and is not related to a single account. Posts in the name of a blocked user are forbidden (so-called "proxy posting").



8. Impersonating a gamigo Employee

It is not allowed to claim to be an employee or representative (e.g. GM) of gamigo AG in any form of communication. This also includes usernames, user profiles and voice feedback, text, chat, and the publishing of messages. The usage of rank image as avatar also counts.



9. Identity of Another User

The publishing of information regarding the identity of another user or gamigo employee or representative (e.g. Game Master) is forbidden. This refers to all personal data like name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, or links to personal websites which provide information about a person that is behind an account. Furthermore, the publishing of private messages or private chat logs is forbidden.



10. Copyrighted Works

The uploading or transferring of copyrighted material without the explicit consent of the copyright holder is forbidden.



11. Signature Size

The size of the signature may not exceed the following values:

Height: 125 px

Width: 400 px

File size: 450000 Byte

Number of rows: with signature picture 4 rows; without signature picture 7 rows

Type size: 12 px



12. Selling of Product / Services

The advertising and selling of products or services for other games in the forums is forbidden. In-game products and services may only be purchased and sold in the context of the gamigo approved in-game currency in the designated forum platforms (market places).



13. Advertising

Advertising for self-serving, non-gamigo related industries, organizations, or websites, as well as posting links to the corresponding sites, is forbidden. Advertising game-related fansites is allowed as long as the fansites serve no commercial purpose.



14. Publishing Communication with gamigo

Posts or answers to a discussion concerning disciplinary measures against a player, character, or account are not allowed to be made public and discussed and will be deleted without warning. Publishing the communication between a user and gamigo employee/representative is also not allowed.



15. Reporting to the Team

The "Report post" function may only be used for reporting the infringement of rules. The "Private message" function is there to be used for all other matters. Contacting multiple team members about the same topic within 48 hours is not allowed.



If any user breaks any of these rules, he will get warned of the offense. Multiple warnings can result in a temporary or permanent ban from the forums according to the violation and his violations in the past.

The users should follow the moderators’ instructions. The moderator team will contact the said person when these rules are infringed upon. Turn to the relevant moderator team with complaints regarding warnings or banning of forum accounts.
