What do you do

at an anime convention?

I'm thinking about going to one but I'm not sure what I would do there. I'm not really *that* interested in anime and J-pop and stuff like that but I would go for the experiences and I would go if they had interesting stuff to show or like events and stuff...

And I watched Wong Fu Productions go to an anime convention and it seemed like there was other stuff that people cosplayed as too (non-anime stuff) so I might go for that...

But what do people do that exactly?

Last year I went to my first anime convention and it was okay. I watch anime and I felt awkward there.

There are a couple of things to do but it's all really lame to be honest. Watching the anime cosplay show was entertaining so you might enjoy that. The one I went to had a gaming center(I'm pretty sure all anime conventions have it). There were brawl and street fighter and rock band. Though I say the gaming center is only worth playing for the tournaments. Otherwise it's just like playing games with your friends any other place, unless you want to play with strangers. The store also has some pretty good stuff. I didn't have a lot of money so I only bought one thing but there was some pretty cool artwork. But since your not into anime, you probably wouldn't want to buy any of them. Though you can get a commission so have them draw a LoL character or whatever for you if you want.

Those 3 are pretty much what I think are the best of an anime convention. Though yours will be different, but I doubt not by that much. Unless you go to california for their anime convention, I think the experiences will be pretty much the same.

There's also a handful of awkward events going. There was a truth or dare event that I watched for a while and it was pretty lame and boring. I really don't think you'd enjoy it but I wouldn't say you shouldn't go. Just know there's nothing really exciting to do for someone who's not into anime...or even into anime.

I think CA has the best amine conventions... The bigger the better imo.
I wouldn't suggest going if youre not to much into anime though. I've been going to Fanime for the last few years and it's pretty awesome. I normally spend most of my time in the art room and merchandise room. You have to look at the schedule to find panels that you want to go to. they actually had an Outspark panel last year but I missed it. D:

... rather spend the money to go to Japan instead. Least the merchandise wouldn't be overpriced.
