We understand that many high ELO players perceive ELOs not resetting as a disadvantage that will slow down their leveling and IP gain, and we want to do everything we can to mitigate this problem, while preserving the quality of experience for the brand new players.

We will be granting rewards to players based on the following criteria

All users with an ELO over 1500 will nine-day double IP boost.
The top 500 ELO players will a unique "Master Beta Tester” summoner icon as soon as this functionality is available in PVP.net
The top 100 ELO players will receive a "Grandmaster Beta Tester” icon as soon as this functionality is available in PVP.net

Additionally, all ELO’s over 1650 will be automatically reset to 1650 to create a bigger pool of players at that rank for matchmaking.

I haven't had any bad experiences so far so I guess I'm lucky. All the people who seem to take it too seriously always seemed to be on the opposing team.

I've even had team-mates who follow my lead on ganks and signal-calls. Plus that one-guy who dragged Teemo half-way across the map just so that I could gank him...haha. Can't help but think that karma will set me up soon.

I've never played DOTA or this type of game before. I'm still trying to find a champion that's a good fit. I'm really liking Cho'gath at the moment. He's a beast.

I let my sister play a few games on my account when she was over and they were just brutal to her in about three games. One person told her she should just stop playing. Granted, she wasn't very good, but still. My son has gotten some flak, too. I made him play with bots until he can win every time against them, and we've played some while I give him some hints, but still. "We would have won execpt for that loser" and such.
