[ESO] Update on the next patch
Quote:
|
There will be no maintenance tonight. I know many of you have heard talk about a major update, and we haven't said too much beyond a few talking points. I wanted to give you an update on the matter.
We received a major patch which not only adds new content and raises the level cap, but also makes some gameplay changes. Upon testing however, these changes were not working as intended for our version in the US. Therefore I rejected the update and asked for a revision that will be appropriate for our audience.
What that means is that there will be no patches this week. It was a hard decision, but I hope you understand that we want the game to be as perfect as it can be. We want to get these changes out to you though, so the developers are working hard to get the new update finalized.
In the meantime, we will continue to update the community and run new events. Loonie will write some previews of the new content (such as the White Dragon boss), while I will post info about the new fashion items and mounts as we get closer to release. I'll respond with whatever questions you may have, but please understand that I cannot go into details of the changes.

I've already posted in that thread but like I said I'm satisfied that they have taken the time to tell us what's up. On top of that not just throw on a patch just because some complain about not getting anything new because we all know how that works out since we're here.
I am excited to see what they'll add... it's nice to know that cap raise is coming up with brand new content. Maybe I'll get my Shaman to be able to farm efficiently... with good gear.

I am able to farm d2 already just not the main bosses which is a shame.
Loonie should definitely mysteriously pop up and spill the beans.

Well technically I should be able to tank with enough healers. We can try shouting for some members... I already have my diplo weapon.

No... well I can but I shouldn't just yet (I shouldn't even be here now really). After Weds I'm free for 2 weeks.
But to stay... "on topic" I really really really hope that new pets will be tameable. As much as I love the beastkin I'd love to get my hands on the aerax/vena/florax family.

Well, so far each type of monster family has a set type of fusion element associated with them. For example, if you catch a beastkin it will always have +Unda affinity as their fusion element (Elementa has Pyra, and Mechen has Oora). At the moment Erda and Widu affinities are not guaranteed from any mobs... you can try Humanoids but they have sub-par base stats and it is random. There is also the Fiesty Whelp but again it's a gamble.
I'm guessing and hoping that these new tameable pets will have fusion stats for those affinities. Otherwise Shamans/Dragoons will have to again submit to over priced pets just so that they can compete with the more priviledged classes if you will.
