Bogs is on a distinguished road

While I may have only been a member of Fiesta for a month, I have had quite a time with the game and my buddies as we confront various forms of danger, confusion, or extreme weirdness. Yet there's always something out there that tends to rob players of their fun at some random intervals of gameplay. Though the community of Fiesta players within the towns has seemed much more mature and friendly than those of other F2P games I've played, there are still times when minor trifles tend to escalate into unreasonable conflicts, when players decide to take advantage of or tick others off, or unexpected confrontations with anything. The Fiesta players aren't perfect, after all. Moving on....

Bots!
When I played Maplestory during the hacking and botting age, it was rare to go a day without seeing a single hacker vaccing all of the monsters and attacking or a bot repeatedly hacking and slashing the enemies and the air. Even before then was the experience I had of about 2 weeks of adventuring in Ragnarok Online, a fun game which really ticked me off because of the hundreds of bots one could encounter within a day. Dozens of little avatars would strike any enemy that moved within those little sewers, often KSing you and running away with the loot dropped by the bug that nearly slaughtered you.

In Fiesta, however, I wasn't even aware of the botters within, unless you count those annoying spammers at the towns. In fact, I thought that botting didn't exist and was simply thrown at players by outraged fools that would attempt to slander one's name (that does sound a bit reasonable >_>. But after quite some time I was eventually able to recognize my first bot-enemy in the game when I, as a low 2x mage then, ventured into the horrible wasteland that is Sand Hill. I'm still not sure why I decided to torture my avatar by receiving such a terrible pummeling... Yet even as I suffered blow upon blow of a megaton's love or a marlone archer's thorny sting, I continued to fight if only for the hope of obtaining something valuable. After a while I eventually got the hang of it and began to beat down every megaton that dared to face the unstoppable Bogs! That is, until I met her... or it, rather. I thought that she was simply another player out there training away like any good Fiestan would. But then she turned on me! <Fizzle,> <pop!,><boom!> I tried to destroy that Megaton but she simply waltzed on to him, and with a <Whack, whack, whack!> she KSed me. If the KS wasn't bad enough, she also happened to rob me at that very moment of a lovely Rune Wand, the likes of which was some sort of green weapon as indicated by the unusual name (the likes of which I forgot). Without a word she moved on to the next enemy and whacked away at him, completely ignoring my cries of agony. After a few more KSes I eventually grew tired of it and moved to another map.
I would then encounter her again the next day only to discover that she was running the same pattern-picking the shortest route between vanquished foe and living targets, beelining straight towards it, and then hammering away while healing herself everytime her HP dropped below 50%. And it would continue that way for over an hour before I eventually recognized the existance of bots. But why? Why should one even bother to create a character if he simply intends to use illegal means to skip all of the tedious parts of developing a character? And why would such a person dare to do such a thing in a normally populated region in which he could cause harm to another character? And, of course there's this most important question- What the hell happened to my wand?! D:!
MY first encounter with a botter was terrible, but my next encounter....or perhaps I should say next 7 encounters, was freakily hilarious. While my buddy and I were adventuring in the Graveyard of the Abyss we decided to take a right into a part of the map we'd never headed towards-the center. Immediately we were freaked out as a rolling mass of blue figures and name tags sprang toward us, hammers waving in the air like a baby's rattle, as if they were about to pummel us into mage goo. And as we turned to run, we were suddenly stopped by a desire to figure out what was going on. Turns out that 6 or 7 cleric-bots were running around and destroying anything that dared to spawn in the area. How hilarious and frightening it was to see that mass charging through, each in a synchronized pattern of move, destroy, grab items. move, destroy, grab items. And this continued on forever, and ever, and...well into the next day, apparently when they were still there, farming for items. Those botters....it's only a matter of time before they program their cleric-kill-bots to seek out and destroy any player that dares to venture into their territory.

Trains

The only people that I can imagine would enjoy trains are those that intentionally create them and swing them by an unsuspecting player. That, or a masochistic tank that feels as if he can take everything they can throw at him. I just don't understand it- why the heck do some people feel the need to disturb you when you're trying to train by placing you into a situation that would highly jeopardize your health-especially if you happen to be a squishy and foolish mage. I hate it when a lower-leveled player tries to run through a map and brings enemies to you on purpose just to get them off of his tail: that's unreasonably cruel. It's even worse when the player that forms the train is fully capable of destroying the monsters he's dragging along, yet chooses simply to endanger all those around him. Luminous Stone 1 was always more than just a battlefield as such, and I'm glad that I won't have to fight those skeletons in such a narrow passage for quite some time. As for trains in a whole, there's one thing that I know for sure: they always seem to arrive just on time-when I just happen to lower my guard, look away from the screen, or hide within my shroom to regenerate. Now then, will you guys stop trying to get me killed as well? Lead those monsters to some isolated place where you can die alone! D:!

"OMG, GM. You need to fix this stupid lag because I can't grab any chests!"
"GM, will you please explain why _______ was banned (for doing things that were deemed worthy of being banned). He did nothing wrong!"
"I hate you GM ___. (Insert random nonsensical comment or possibly an attempt at forming an insult."

I don't really understand why so many people complain to the GMs, but it's really beginning to annoy me. The GMs perform their jobs to the best of their abilities while still being able to have fun and behave like a human (or I think they're humans. Evidence is inconclusive at best). As for those who complain about not being able to open a chest, that's not their fault (the monster or competition are often the ones to blame =T) . It's not as if they programmed some chests to remain incapable of opening up for you. You just have to have some luck, skill (being able to click on the orange bar in the meter to decrease your gathering time), and brains (like, going after the second wave of chests instead of the first, the latter of which is bound to be hounded by tons of desperate fools). And while there are times when a GM may accidentally punish a person when he didn't deserve it, if this acquaintance of yours happens to do things that violate the ToS or rules set forth in-game by the GMs, chances are that these things will catch up to him at a time when he can claim to having performed no foul-play. And when a GM tells you to march in an orderly fashion, stop running around like a disorganized scatter of ants after being threatened by a boot's sudden inteference with the terrain.

I can probably understand that you broke the post up so it's easier to read, but we only usually do that when you have exceeded character limit/images limit. xD

Haven't read the whole post yet, but some bits made me laugh LMAO.

Sorry about that, Loveless. I thought it would be better if I separated them as opposed to mashing each segment together in a single post.

As for that picture that was posted, I'm guessing that it's supposed to mean "Too long;didn't read." Now that fills me up with RAGE!
