A pet is the best thing that can flop out of a chest, so you should rightfully be happy about it. :3 They do not always contain a pet, although the chance is rather big still.

Aside from that, they usually have things like enhancement stones, copper bars, and random stuff like herbs and other harvestables.

I have had a Lucky Xir [4] drop before. Worth considerably more to a NPC than a pet is worth to the streetl market. 62s, I believe.

I've only opened about two treasure chests since i've played. Only one of them contained a pet but unfortunately my inventory was full and before I could drop something to pick it up some asshole stole it from me. Its hard to find treasure chests because a lot of people (especially the higher leveled people) are constantly hunting for them. And the respawn time is about six hours so... yeah. Its pretty damn difficult to ever find any. I think i'll wait in Burning Hill for six hours until the two respawn and go get them. Funny thing is, is that not a lot of people go to Burning Hill so my chances of getting a treasure chest are increased significantly.

Off topic: I got killed like 4 times in Moonlight tomb cause i'm still lvl 25 and decided to have a mad dash with my friend to Burning hill. xDD

Well, it's not how to get. It's something like herb ; trees ; flowers those kinda thing that respawns all the time. Except you dun really know where it spawns and WHEN. But i'm sure it takes a mighty long time to spawn cause the things inside are like pets, blessed elrues, scrolls those kinda stuff. So if you see a treasure chest, open it IMMEDIATELY before someone else grabs it.

The chests spawn at random spots on any given map. You open them like you would farm a Wood or Mushroom. I opened on in Goblin Camp the other day and it had two Honeyings in it, but I mostly find junk in them. Roumen scrolls! Yay!

Just recently found another chest in MT... in total I've found 3 in that map. You really just go where most don't wander into like the corner of maps, etc. Another place where I've had luck was the Sea of Greed and Burning Hill definitely had chests. :P I think I've found like 8 chests in total and had pets in 4 of them (of course one was taken by a party member).

Everyone, CHARGE for SEA OF GREED cause i think that's where lots of chests spawn. xD

I got my pet by opening a herb bush not a chest.. although I found several chests in my "life-time".
