Str isn't useless. My advice is to either use dex or end, not both in one build. Personally I chose End, because dex isn't reliable, and we get a pretty massive dex bonus every level anyways. My build involves str, spr, and end, and so far its working out perfectly solo and in parties. ;o

Have fun hitting like 5 damage at later levels. Archers have such low base STR that any build without STR will be guaranteed to suck ass later on.

Str is what give archers their damage...of course its needed

Strength isn't needed. We get heaps from levelling. High chance for double damage is better. Endurance isn't great, just gives you a small amount of HP, and that block is never used. Total waste of a stat. And later on you deal 1000 damage regardless of strength anyway (the base damage count in the stat screen). Strength doesn't do anything significant to your damage. I could easily use numbers to argue my point, but I don't think I need to.

If you think you're lacking in the damage department just use rings to make up for it. Two STR rings of your level should be more than enough to help you out. I say with whatever build if you can afford it go get two of each STR, END, and DEX and wear them according to where you are training.

I've gone full SPR til 25 and now going full DEX and it's working out quite nicely and it's helping me out with the low accuracy of a Crossbow.

I think it would be better to just go full SPR until level 20 then you can get the +25 bonus stat with the 5 you get from the job change. Then after that you can go 2:1 STREX if you so desire.
