Roles
Defendant: Jackaroo
Defense Attourney: Esen
Prosecutor: Blahhhs
Judge: Kayla
Jury: Hyper, Lirange, and Triumph
Witnesses: Helion and Secbro.
Role Description
Judge: acts as the referee. you decide when the cross-examination has lasted too long, and if the lawyer is out of line. if the lawyer goes out of line 3 times in a row, you're allowed to end the trial, and have the jury give its verdict.
Defendant: Gets to either speak out for themselves as the final testimony, or stay silent. Has the end goal of staying out of prison for as long as possible. They may take a plea deal that the prosecutor offers, ending the trial and making the game a draw. This is only a last resort. They may only PM their attorney.
Defense Attorney: Speaks out for their client; gets to examine the witnesses after the prosecution does. Is not allowed to share information gained from the defendant without the defendant's consent. The attorney is only allowed to talk to the defendant to get the facts, and the prosecutor to try and get a plea deal.
Prosecutor: The opposite of the defense attourney. They may offer the defendant a plea deal. They will try to prove the defendant wrong; The Prosecutor and the defense attorney act as opposite sides of the same coin, arguing different points to reach the truth.
Jury: You're the most important people in the room. you decide whether or not the defendant is guilty. Before sending in a verdict, you must all agree, and you may talk to each other in pm's. you may not pm anyone outside of the jury.
Witnesses: The key pieces of the game, no verdict would come without these people. The Defense and Prosecution will ask them questions to try and prove the defendant either innocent or guilty. They may be liars; try to see through the lies and decide for yourselves. However, there's a minimum number of truths for every liar.
i tried to make a relatively easy this round... i'll try to make it a bit harder next one.
