I watched two episodes of Ben-To the other day (probably not really like the samurai anime you've mentioned, but it's action/comedy)...

Anime about fighting for half priced bento in supermarket stores. LOL. It seems pretty funny in the two eps I watched and the fight scenes are soo dramatic. "Interesting" plot.
