So yup, full INT mage is almost a suicide build, unless you have the money to buy all the pots and stones.

I beg to differ
Once you've been playing mage as long as I have, you learn to find the casting sweet spot. Pulling the hate off the tank just means you have to adjust your playing style. If you have all INT, you're better in many ways, some important ones are that
a. You're causing much more damage at less SP cost.
b. You're able to deal massive damage at a whim when necessary.
(Say a big mob is down to 5%-10% health and you've been playing well, by that i mean controlling hate) at this point you should be able to unleash without disrupting the flow of the battle. The end mage will lack here, will not do as much damage and will get resisted often.... YEP mages hit big ugly resists. I bet you the END mages don't talk about those
The poor END mage who thinks he's cool because he can take 2 xtra hits will often disrupt the flow of grinding parties.. will piss off tanks trying to play well. Will inevitably cost the cleric more SP because of the cures. No matter how much END, the tank will take less damage. Not to mention cleric having to heal you is putting more hate on her, and makes it even more difficult for the tank to re-establish hate balance.
Making an END tank does sound like a neat idea. But i honestly only recommend it if you plan to eternally solo, or not ever reach the mage's potential.
I know this is an old topic, but man... playing dedicated mage for close to 2 years makes you want to share the knowledge. I don't want fellow mages to mess up their builds and spend hours (or money in the future maybe :x) trying to redo their mages.
