Ok...got most of this figured out, so lets do this!
I have setup an iGoogle developer sandbox and have
created this test theme for you to look at:
http://www.google.com/ig?skin=http:/...ntesttheme.xml
Note, you *must* be logged into your Google account for the iGoogle theme to show!
Create a header logo:
The header image is 175 px in height and must be at least 640 px wide. You can make the image as wide as you like, as long as the file size stays under 40 kb (Hint: smaller images load faster).
Pick the iGoogle logo Color from the following list
http://code.google.com/apis/themes/d...html#Ref_Logos
Create a footer:
The footer image is 140 px in height and must be at least 640 px wide. You can make the image as wide as you like, as long as the file size stays under 20 kb
a few other comments...
MOST IMPORTANTLY...your images *must* be hosted on a public server. This means you must give me a fully qualified URL to the image (ex:
http://www.whereyouhost.com/images/yourfiestaheader.jpg)
The header/footer can also be set on top of a different background image that is tiled instead of a background color, or we can use just tiles instead of a center header/footer image.
Also, we can change just about every color of anything on the page. Here is the complete list:
http://code.google.com/apis/themes/d...tml#Ref_Design
or, just tell me what you want to change and give me either a hex color value or an RGB color value and I will try to make it work
Also, we can change both images and colors based on time of day (ex: morning=Roumen, afternoon-Elderine, evening=Uruga), but for now I'd like to just get 1 basic Fiesta/FiestaFan theme going, and I will create a second, dynamic one next.
Finally, please do *not* post in the thread or PM me about this sucking or looking like shite or infringing on FF's copyright. It is a *test* page and in a private development sandbox and I know I suck at graphics, thats why im counting on more artistically talented ppl to help with image creation and color choosing! /rant
Thanks for the help...I think this could be very cool!
